Honestly, the sad truth is if you're here for the romance, DON'T watch it bc you'll be disappointed. I think the cheesy lines in the beginning ruined it to start off and though I genuinely don't agree w how the romance played out, I personally stan the relationship.
If you're looking for a new never before-seen (not just "plot twists" new) plot - this is everything. the plot is literally MORE THAN ENOUGH to watch it. having a bunch of unanswered question doesn't necessarily make this drama confusing if you're watching it and trying to make sense of it.
this drama is so disappointing tbh. it had such a great concept of a looked down upon 10 year age gap. it could…
I actually thought this drama was more realistic in terms of everything else besides the age gap situation. If you think about the culture and the fact that it represents both modern and older values, it's actually a pretty good drama. I feel like for the main leads (as in He Fanxing and her brother) it was more about not disappointing all these "values" or morals, w.e you'd call them, that their parents have which is what makes He Fanxing so indecisive - she does NOT want to disappoint and basically makes her life impossible which is frustrating for viewers. I could go on and on but my point is, it seems more like a Slice of Life/Romance drama rather than something like One Spring Night. I'm barely on EP21 but I only keep going because I'm not attached to the main couple but more to all the side characters and their love stories lmao. Try watching WWW, that drama is literally the most annoying thing ever (I loved it but hated the main couple).
So shitty I could not even finish it. Gosh I hate when korea try to make (copy) an american product ... it's so…
"an american product" "so NOT Korean" - both of those statements are so ignorant. Do you say the same about Korean shows that are re-made in America? Are they "so NOT American? Wait - that wouldn't make sense because you're complaining about a GENRE, not a remake.
how is it rated a 9.7 already? I really wish that ratings were locked till the end of a series or at least mid…
I'm actually glad it has a high ratings bc most shows on here start off with low ratings and never go up. I'm assuming once more episodes come out and more people start watching it, the rating will go down by a lot.
I do agree with the fact that ratings should be locked IF the show hasn't come out yet.
It was on their Facebook page. It was part of a post promoting History3. This is the exact caption "Can’t get enough of Jake Hsu and Chris Wu? ???? Then you’re gonna love Unit 2 “Make Our Days Count”! Out this October! ????". Now that I think about it, it'll either air in Sep and premiere in Oct on Viki or air in Oct and premiere on Dec.
It was actually really lowkey but I saw it then I came to search it up on kisskh.
I'm not sure how people got into this AT ALL. I've watched a lot of Chinese dramas so I don't mind the voice over but there is SO MANY things wrong about this drama and it's so cringy. I stopped at episode 3 because I couldn't take it anymore... - The green screen scenes were cringy, and although I didn't mind them, they did lower the quality of the drama. - The scene where her mom died after getting hit by a car? First of all, it was RANDOM. I would've preferred if she was sick from the beginning and had a heart attack or something. Second of all, after she died, they just exposed her dead body in the HALLWAY to everyone there...uh ok? and third of all, the female lead seemed to have gotten over it real quick. - I was fine with the male lead being "mean" but he's honestly just bratty...which is unattractive.
A lot of people talk about Tong Nian being an annoying character because she's immature but if you really think about it, Hang Shangyan has acted immature too - especially when he's with Solo's daughter, Little Ai. You guys need to remember that in the novel, there's a 10 year difference between their characters. I think it's unfair that people always criticize the female lead but refuse to find flaws in the male lead - especially if he's good looking (in general because I've watched way too many dramas where the female lead is singled out). As for the most recent episodes (I'm in E13), I don't think it's dumb that they "break up" because if they got together quickly, it would get boring quickly too. There's 41 episodes, just be patient with the progress of their relationship.
No no here we go again, why is it that there is such big age gap between the main actors. That's the main reason…
It has always been that way though... - My ID is Gangnam Beauty (F: 29 M: 22) - Bring It On, Ghost (M: 30 F:20) - Guardian: The Lonely and Great God (M:40 F: 28) - WWW (M: 26 F: 40) - My Love From the Star (M: 31 F:37) - Oh My Venus (M: 41 F: 35) - Encounter (M: 26 F:37) - Doctors (M: 38 F: 29)
There's A LOT more examples, but if you liked any of these dramas, your thinking is flawed and you're a hypocrite.
This drama really went from a 9.4 to an 8.3 in less than 24 hours. I'm not sure why AGE GAP or PERSONAL DISLIKES towards actors are taken into consideration when reviewing a drama - it should be more about their acting skills, the plot itself, and the characters.
This is the first Korean historical drama (from the ones I've watched) that I would consider having a unique plot...I'm most definitely enjoying it as of right now so if y'all actually concentrated on the drama itself instead of the aspects of reality, maybe you'd get somewhere.
I find it funny that ppl are bashing others bc they have an opinion about SSK. Well, here's mine. Give her a chance?…
I'll be honest - when I first heard about her being a "bad actress" (from reviews) BEFORE watching any of her dramas I was BIASED for a really, really long time. Before watching Episode 1, I was still a little meh about how it would turn out but she's honestly doing a good job at playing her character. I feel like it's all about practice and experience because I can say the same for IU (Scarlet Heart vs. Hotel Del Luna) even though I've always been a fan of IU. It's more about being willing to see their progress than just assuming they'll be meh at acting in every drama they're in. I was looking forward to this drama because of Eun Woo and not SSK, but the acting has exceeded my expectations.
Unrequited Love just came out on Netflix BUT this and that are two different adaptations. This drama won't be coming out till 2020. I'm not really sure why there's two adaptations of the same drama though.
Ending of the novel is three characters(YY, QM, GSX (brother's sister)) die and the brother lives on to tell the…
I'm assuming this whole thread makes sense in the actual novel. It sounds kinda dumb as I re-read it. I think I'll put off the drama until it's completed.
