Yes the lip balm. Ohmygoodness. I was actually so confused. Am I watching a drama or an ad??

I’m 8 episodes in and feel like I’m still part of the minority that’s actually enjoying this drama. However there is one thing that I just can’t handle. And that is All. The. Product placement. It literally feels so forced and obvious!! It’s so bad I actually I kind of find it hilarious. Particularly in ep 8 when LMH stops and is shocked by how good the bottled coffee was “smooth and clean just like the palace” ??? and when KGE is on stakeout with Jangmi and he offers her kimchi with her ramen and she’s like “ah! So refreshing ! You know how to pick your kimchi’s” LOL. I’m sorry but I just can’t. It just pulls you out of the story. Like they stop mid plot To do little reviews of these things!! Am I alone here? I’ve watched a lot of dramas but it just feels forced and unnatural here.

Wow. So interesting seeing all the criticism on this drama. I guess people came with big expectations. I’m of the unpopular opinion where I am actually really enjoying this so far. I can see the chemistry between the main leads and I’ve enjoyed the build up. I can definitely see how she falls for him. Helps that he’s a hot king. I mean who wouldn’t?! Haha. I’ve actually been enjoying this drama more with each episode! Excited for the episodes to come!!
