Honestly man, I think you're being way too pessimistic here. Just because something has been rare doesn't mean…
I’m not being pessimistic, just realistic. There’s really no reason to expect Son Yejin to do nudity. Her character didn’t have nudity in Untold Scandal, and most adaptations of this story don’t have it either. Even though she filmed intimate scenes earlier in her career, she has never done full nudity and it’s unlikely she’d start now. This director usually casts rookie/unknown actresses through auditions when a role requires nudity, yet here he cast Nana and Han Sunhwa. Two very well known and popular actresses?. I’m not saying anyone chickened out. The script could have been written or adjusted with the cast in mind from the start. It’s not fair to criticize the actors when we don’t know what went down during contract negotiations. If the production wanted a full on erotic thriller, this cast would look a lot different. Dangerous Liaisons and Cruel Intentions, two of the most popular adaptations, didn’t feature nudity from the main characters either. Untold Scandal was the exception, and even then it was brief and pretty tame. So I don’t see why this remake is expected to be any different. The only character that’s most likely going to have nudity is Cecile but that’s only if it’s a rookie actress. If it’s Han Sunhwa.. well get ready to see a body double. Anyway If I end up being wrong then great. I don’t care either way. I just want a good story.

Did u read Ji Chang Wook interview recently? Did u watch any films from this director ? And do u know it will…
Yes I’ve read his recent interview and I’m familiar with the director’s works too. Even if it’s on Netflix, that doesn’t automatically mean the main cast will do full nudity. Based on JCW’s past projects and choices, I personally don’t see him suddenly going nude this far into his career. He didn’t do it for Queen Woo so why would he do it for The Scandal? He also has several lower back, hip, and thigh tattoos which would mean spending a long time in the makeup chair to cover them. Is all of that worth it just for a few scenes when they can just rely on camera work or a body double? The drama can still be explicit and sensual without us having to see his bare buttocks lmao.
As for Nana, how someone presents themselves doesn’t always reflect what they’re comfortable doing on screen. When was the last time an established actress in Korea did full chest and back nudity? Hell they don’t even do it for movies anymore, let alone an OTT drama. I just think it’s better for fans to keep expectations realistic.

Anyone expecting nudity from any of the main cast is likely setting themselves up for disappointment. It’s very rare for established actors, especially in Korea to do nudity, since they don’t need it to advance their careers. That’s not to say the drama won’t be explicit at all, but at most we’ll probably see body doubles or CGI.

Also no offense, but I can’t really imagine JCW ever going nude for a role. He doesn’t seem like the type of actor who’s comfortable with that, which is completely fine. If I’m not mistaken, he even used a body double for that one scene in Queen Woo, which suggests he has clear boundaries about what he’s willing to show. As for Nana, she supposedly didn’t use one in Mask Girl but I still highly doubt it for her as well. Son Yejin’s character doesn’t have any nudity in the original movie and she’s never done it either despite filming intimate scenes before.
