I do agree that sabi can't empathize however fighting is better than indifference(fighting shows that you care)and biggest proof is that sabi eventually came around and apologized for some of her behavior (which fixed it for a little while then it got messed up again🤣)reaching the level of acceptance directly might reduce them to being acquaintances which would be a sad turn of events for the plot

in the drama, in the context, sabi was right .
however I want to say that koo dowon wasn't wrong in his advice but but you should only reach the level of acceptance after trying to fix things . if you find that the person is unfixable and doesn't want to try only then you're allowed to accept them.
