I don't think when we're mentioning that it's reminding us of the double that we're downgrading one of the shows in question..it's more like oh yes we have another masterpiece at hand even tho we find similarities and pattern like a dumb father, a grandmother who stands up for the protagonist, evil step mom or concubine lol..
personally I enjoyed story of minglan, the double and hopefully will be eating this drama too just the same
