Lacked a plot and romance
For the first 1/4-1/3 of the show, it seems like it has a lot of potential and is progressing at a reasonable rate, but once Kang In Soo gets upset with the producer for adding elements to his song without telling him, it all goes downhill. In Soo is mad at Sang Yi one moment, but quickly forgets when he heard him playing the piano, which is arguably a strange reason to forgive someone, especially considering they had just met. After that, their relationship moves very quickly (literally within the same day) from being strangers to being good friends. After Sang Yi kisses In Soo, the two don't interact again until the last 5 or so minutes of the show. On top of that, they never address the kiss, nor do they really give any insight into how either character felt about it. Also, the plot twist where In Soo's debut was cancelled was never truly resolved.
The characters have essentially no chemistry in my opinion. Despite acting like good friends, their relationship seemed very base level and a majority of what they said to each other throughout the show was along the lines of "I'm sorry" and "I'm so grateful for you." There was no depth to their relationship because they never had a deep, serious conversation or addressed any of the issues that came up. There was only a microscopic amount of romantic tension between the two, so overall it just felt like a 'bromance,' not like they fell in love with each other. So, if you're looking for a good romance show, this is not it.
I will say, the cinematography, sound quality, and music were pretty good, but possibly the only redeeming quality of the show. I do recognize that it came out in 2020, when very few Korean BLs had been made, so there wasn't much of a standard to go off of. Regardless, this show missed the mark for me and I would not recommend watching it.
Note: I watched it in movie format, so I'm unsure what episodes different events happen in.
