So the writer had an affair with the ice cream lady, which inspired her to write a new book, but then they broke up off screen and the dude at the beginning moved into her old house....?
Starts off great (FL giving candy to ML is just so endearing, my favorite part lol) but then goes downhill as it overcomplicates itself. The characters seemed determined to be obtuse about each others feelings. One of the best scenes in the drama is when Konatsu tells everyone on this at the diner table. Too bad she didn't follow her own advice.
I can't remember the last time I felt so indifferent to an ending. She was together with her fiancé for 2 years while being hung-up on the ML, and then when she finds him and they fall in love again, she choses to remain with her boyfriend, and it has to be him telling her he doesn't love her anymore? If she had to move to Hokkaido to take care of her aunt why didn't the ML just go with her too?
A note about casting, I've yet to see a drama where Arimura Kasumi isn't a goody two shoes, hardworking woman with no big flaws. (Okay apart from that one where she is a pedophile, my favorite role of her so far.) She always gets type casted as such because of her beauty.
Kora Kengo really looks like a bad person, so I think he shined the most when his character was deceiving people about halfway through the drama.
Takahashi Issei made me hate his character so effortlessly, but then forgive him and understand him as the story went on. He is always the best actor in any show.
The cast carry the show on their backs. Starts off great but the lead gets more and more arrogant and by the end I wasn't really interest in his story. I was very interested in Kaoru tho. The show should've been about her, she seems to have had a greater vision than the lead, and she is a true feminist icon in japan. Also she didn't cast underage girls in porn.
Amazing soundtrack. I wonder how big their budget was. "Koi no mega lover" by Maximum the Hormone in episode 5 left me like my profile pic. I wasn't expecting to hear that classic in a drama lol.
I dropped the drama during episode 9. Everything about the show is just so incredibly lame, one would think they did it like this on purpose. I'm writing this just to tell other people who disliked it that they are not alone lol.
Actually they left because they were that bad and I think what they threw away were the advert posters. The members…
Their only interest in going to the concert was to see the "freak" performers. They wanted to see the famous Maki, who was bold enough to play in public again.
It had nothing to to with their musical ability, in my opinion.

The feels tho.
