If you're not sure whether to start this drama or not- the answer is yes!
Good acting and visual effects and the right amount of angst. It does have a lot of emotional scenes throughout the whole drama, not just towards the end like i find most dramas are so be prepared for tears lol I got so sleep deprived from this drama cause i would stay up super late and could not stop watching haha

78 episodes?!? Am I going to get bored halfway through or what?
Nope! The first few eps might be a little slow but it picks up after that. Each episode has a lot going on, definitely won't get bored

Realistic, mature theme dramas are often few and far between. I loved this one and will addit to my customized…
The way i interpreted it was that the family at the end of the episodes were to show that while they didn't have much in terms of money and materialistic things, they were still very happy and fulfilled from the small things in life. For example, the scene where the mother scrapes egg whites from the leftover egg shells to make a meal for her son. And she smiles down at him just watching him eat.
I think it was shown to kind of contrast to the stories of the other characters where they seem to be chasing for more in their life, more money, status etc.
It was really cute to see their ending though cause they moved from selling from their bike on the streets to an actual shop!

One of the best chinese dramas i've watched in a long time! Loved the acting of every character and the cinematography as well. Time to go rewatch now :)
