mi jung's company seems so fcking miserable omg. but i love this cast, i'm so intrigued by every character. lee minki is so fine to me. and mijung saying worship me at the end and the way mr gu is looking at her omg get it girl he's so sexy and mysterious
first 2 eps were so meh hopefully it gets better as the stories of the other characters develop. also is hansu actually separated/getting a divorce or did he just lie to eunhui? i *almost* feel bad for him but he seems pretty shitty avoiding his wife's calls and hiding that family picture before eunhui gets in the car. and the previews look even more suspicious. emotional cheating is one thing but if he does end up physically cheating too, he's even more pathetic and gross than i thought lmao. getting one hotel room? yuck. but that scene of him and his young self in the ocean was beautifully shot. overall i'm just underwhelmed so far i want to see more of the others already
i'm so entertained by this show. finished ep 5 and i love cheolie!!! such a satisfying episode ending. if only other kids had his courage. those bullying scenes literally make my blood boil i wish it didn't take this long for them to get what they deserved. anyway adult jong suk is annoying lmao i seriously hope kyungmin gets away with everything in the end
i just want to see do be man punch the sh-t out of no hwa young and her little bitch boy moongu too. also ugh. i love the tension between DBM and CWI but i wish they would just leave it at that. i fcking hate when they take it further and add an unnecessary romance side plot, no matter how big or small it is. if i wanted to watch a romance i would go watch one, but a loveline doesn't need to be plugged in every other genre just because there's a male and female lead. meh
sunwoo being all petty and jealous in the office was so cute lmao. i love them together ugh why is this so short 😭😭waiting a whole week for one 40 minute episode is torture. the grocery shopping scene with the chocolates was also precious i need more
not gonna lie I cried during joo hee's conversation with mijo. i'm so proud of her for actually speaking up and saying how she feels. she seems to always be left behind while everyone else gets more screentime. ive seen more of seonwoos dumb sister and it's soo annoying. im siwan's cameo was adorable tho
yeah honestly i respect the wife a whole lot now for being the bigger person and having that conversation with chanyoung, finally being true to herself and wanting to be a better mother to juwon. it was a great first step to take accountability before moving on with her life. i still don't give a shit about that loser jinseok though lmao. at least he finally admits he was a coward and accepts fault too but he will forever annoy me. his relationship with CY is a dead end, literally hahaha. and CY is still a homewrecker even if it was a one sided love marriage. their story does nothing for me. usually my heart would ache for the whole making up for lost time storyline but meh jinseok ruins it. sucks for them i guess. he can cry all he wants but he's still a little bitch and i don't feel anything for them. i can recognize that lee musaeng does a fantastic job though. i mean, the acting in general in the series is not to be questioned, they're all excellent -- it's just the poor writing, pacing, and direction that's the problem. the actors have done the best with what's been handed to them. also seonwoo's dad really needs to f off and die or something along with mijo's birth mom. there are just too many side plots/ characters i don't give a flying f about. and side note lee tae hwan is so charming and sexy
GO HWANG KYUNG MIN!! rooting for you, you deserved better! the end of episode 2 was so satisfying seeing that loser end up like that hahaha. it would've gone a lot smoother if he didn't hesitate so much and just immediately got the job done. those bullying scenes really know how to make your blood boil though. okay and i also loved the part when kyung min said those final words to his abusive father. i'm loving this show so far and i love kim dong wook as hkm. can't wait to see where this goes
i understand hakyung "needed" that convo with kijun to finally realize how she was acting in her relationships so things could change but i just hate watching her listen to him. kijun is a bottom of the barrel low class self centered scumbag who deserves all the shit he's going through lol. and his little idiot wife is a joke too. idc if hakyung made him feel inferior she's still not at fault for whatever happened. he could've stepped up and communicated things if he really wanted to, like a mature adult, instead of hiding his feelings and finding some slut to screw around with. especially if they were together for 10 years. so glad siwoo knows how to actually express himself.
side note i dont really care much at all for forecaster um's dumb ass family but seeing him so happy when bomi was at his workplace was actually so cute. his wife can go f off
chanyoung always encouraging joohee to swoop in and get hyun jun even though he was in a relationship is so funny to me. lmao havent you homewrecked enough b*tch? honestly i'm glad her parents found out because dying or not she needs a reality check about that relationship with stupid jinseok. if you're ashamed of others knowing then clearly it's not right. her dying doesn't excuse their behavior at all and i'm tired of people acting like it's all just the wife's fault. she didn't "trick" him into marriage. yes, she lied about who the baby daddy was and she is an evil piece of trash for that, but he was not forced to marry her and he didn't have to stay with her just cause she was having a baby. HE made that decision on his own accord to start a loveless marriage thinking he was doing the right thing as if he's some noble gentleman. that is on HIM. and HE made a mess of things even more when he kept CY's pathetic desperate ass around knowing how they both felt about each other. i think wife's actions and feelings are still justified tbh. two shitty adults staying together is probably more unhealthy and harmful for a kid than just staying apart from the beginning. jinseok even found out years ago but instead of doing the smart thing and leaving he just stuck around then kept CY on the side. now everyone is suffering and he regrets staying bc his side hoe is dying lol. he's a selfish coward. it's really hard to feel bad for him and CY in this situation. everything is well deserved. that poor child though :(
i just can't stand how this is a huge part of the main storyline. i'll never be on board with dead girl and cheating asshole together. i need more of the friends without these dudes and their unnecessary annoying sideplots. seonwoo is such a sweet bf but i don't give a shit about his family issues either. also hyeonjun breaking up with his gf was too nice. i would've made that shallow bitch cry
ughh i wish i had it in me to drop but at this point i need to see how it ends. every episode i hope for improvement and i get nothing lmao what a waste of a brilliant cast
hahahahaha that car accident is karma for them sticking around each other while he's been married with a family the whole time. and now cy's parents know hahahaha. jinseok is so annoying i will never care for this man. i'd be more interested in chanyoung's tragic life story if he was not around. lee musaeng is fine as hell tho. but the wife being trash doesn't excuse him for anything lmao yet he's acting like he's already a free man. yes he's a victim for being lied to but that's it. nobody forced him to get married or stick around that long in a loveless relationship. such a joke. sucks that cy is dying but that doesn't give her a free pass either. it's the principle of the matter. i honestly can't be completely mad at the wife for acting this way
also who really gives a sht about seonwoo's sister? i didn't watch this for you girl get the hell out of the way i wanna see more joohee
also ew fck that stupid pathetic b*tch girlfriend of hyun joon. if i was him i wouldn't take that shit she was saying. she's such a shallow piece of trash
10/10 ! don't let those negative top reviews dissuade you and go watch for yourself!! tbh it's not for everyone but they clearly were looking for a different type of thriller drama. through the darkness is very much a slowburn but still felt well paced considering these detectives were figuring things out as they go, with no precedents. this is based on real events and the real experiences of kwon ilyoung so it was really quite fascinating and emotional watching everything portrayed on screen. i liked that it was tied to real events and grounded in reality. it made me 10x more invested. kim namgil always delivers and i loved him and jin seonkyu together. the whole cast did great
side note i dont really care much at all for forecaster um's dumb ass family but seeing him so happy when bomi was at his workplace was actually so cute. his wife can go f off
