hahahahaha that car accident is karma for them sticking around each other while he's been married with a family the whole time. and now cy's parents know hahahaha. jinseok is so annoying i will never care for this man. i'd be more interested in chanyoung's tragic life story if he was not around. lee musaeng is fine as hell tho. but the wife being trash doesn't excuse him for anything lmao yet he's acting like he's already a free man. yes he's a victim for being lied to but that's it. nobody forced him to get married or stick around that long in a loveless relationship. such a joke. sucks that cy is dying but that doesn't give her a free pass either. it's the principle of the matter. i honestly can't be completely mad at the wife for acting this way

10/10 ! don't let those negative top reviews dissuade you and go watch for yourself!! tbh it's not for everyone but they clearly were looking for a different type of thriller drama. through the darkness is very much a slowburn but still felt well paced considering these detectives were figuring things out as they go, with no precedents. this is based on real events and the real experiences of kwon ilyoung so it was really quite fascinating and emotional watching everything portrayed on screen. i liked that it was tied to real events and grounded in reality. it made me 10x more invested. kim namgil always delivers and i loved him and jin seonkyu together. the whole cast did great

kijoon always assuming the worst of yujin is so fun to watch lmao like he never bothers to listen to her or give her the benefit of the doubt yet he's always running around like a fucking fool. i love seeing them both suffer. anyway i loved the open communication and transparency hakyung and siwoo had in today's ep when discussing marriage and the future. hakyung's mom can f off though, it was nice when siwoo defended hakyung in that conversation. the preview for next week looks very interesting ahhh

hakyung's mom needs to piss off forreal. i cannot stand parents like that and watching her character just infuriates me. hopefully she does get sick and die so we don't have to see her anymore. also, if they're going to start showing the second couple be happy i'm about to be skipping a lot more scenes. what the f lol i don't give a shit about them or their happiness / growth i want those cheating losers to rot. it's more entertaining and satisfying that way. they don't get to pull the type of shit they did and then get stronger for it, i wanna see endless suffering lmao. kijoon is the biggest joke of all but his wife is a dumb bitch too. it's so entertaining seeing them struggle. yoon park is doing excellent with his role. also i really do not care for forecaster uhm or his dumb fckin family's storyline either tbh. the show is still decent and good for killing time otherwise and i'm curious how things will play out with hakyung and siwoo. anyway end rant lmao

honestly i love watching park min young and song kang together. their characters have grown on me so much!! it's cute plus they're both attractive as hell. i never had any expectations for the drama because i didn't even plan to watch it in the first place i just checked it out due to boredom, so every episode has been enjoyable for me. no expectations = no disappointments. the highlight is honestly watching the cheating loser exes suffer every week. just when you think they can't get any more pathetic, every episode surprises you and it's so satisfying. that self centered repulsive idiot kijun really missed his mom's birthday to stalk the ex fiance he cheated on. he's really so f*cked in the head it's embarrassing (but entertaining). i would feel bad for his wife but she's a joke too soo i just have to laugh. also, i like to fast forward through the parts i don't care for so i think that helps make my watch experience better. none of the other characters interest me that much

baek yijin really needs some friends who are not in high school lmao. i get it though considering these kids are the only genuine people he's met so far since he lost everything. but i feel like his "i love you" is still just meant platonically and when they get to 2521 that's when it's going to hit that it's become something more. the lines between friendship and romance are becoming more blurred though so i'm gonna need that time jump soon. the age difference isn't big at all but a grown working class adult falling for a girl in high school is still questionable to me tbh. like he said before, "high schoolers should date high schoolers" so i hope he sticks to that. that doesn't take away from how sweet the ending scene was though. i love how protective he is of her and joohyuk is so damn sexy

also if you told me this was a love story between heedo and yurim i would believe you, they were so cute this episode. i'm still on the fence about how i feel about yurim though. i get that she was struggling and stuff and she's still an immature teenager but that really doesn't excuse her bitchiness lmao and she only realized how wrong she was after the injeolmi thing, not when the whole country was attacking heedo? eh but i liked seeing them make an effort to get along today and she's growing on me.

this is the first role of jo boah's that i really love. she is perfect for this kinda action i'm having so much fun watching her. and ahn bo hyun is really good at playing the annoying but hot character lmao he is so fine but do bae man is a clown. i like that his character is in a complex moral grey area with room to grow though. not a hero but also not technically a villain either. but he is frustrating to watch at times. the ending of ep 3 when his dumbass thought he got away but then his car flipped over and he got f'd up by wooin was very satisfying though and deserved. i didn't expect to enjoy this drama so much but i'm hooked

it's still so fun watching the exes struggle and suffer every episode. they're both dumb losers lmao but kijoon is the biggest joke of all. such a self centered entitled piece of trash who is literally worthless. he did hakyung the biggest favor of her life. i like seeing yujin all insecure and upset too though. i hope this drama sticks to making their relationship crumble til the end. i wouldn't care about them otherwise. i should've known siwoo was too good to be true because he's unfolding and the prickly jealous attitude in ep 8 was not cute. i understand the trauma that comes from his previous relationship but it feels out of character for him to be this shitty. also hakyung has handled herself pretty well despite everything she's been through, her character really grew on me alot.

the culprits are all 3 of them. js is a little bitch but he is not the only one at fault lol. JS didn't destroy CY life, she did it to herself because she was too weak and dumb to let go of him even when he had a family. it doesn't matter if he led her on or gave her false hope, she still stuck around on her own. just because cy is dying now doesn't make her any less stupid or pathetic for messing with this married man. if the wife caused a scene it still would have been well deserved. they're not even officially divorced and they're acting like JS is a free man. yuck. it wouldve been a nice reality check for cy's mom to see how idiotic her daughter has been acting tbh. all 3 of these adults are trash and that poor kid juwon has to suffer because of it

the more they show jinseok the more annoying he gets tbh i will never care about him or his storyline. like why is he so selfish and pushy? he isn't even divorced yet and he's doing all this. won't that affect divorce proceedings and custody battle? CY is struggling enough as it is and he wants to drag her even more into his mess. i don't care how desperate he is because CY is dying, he still acts like he did nothing wrong and takes no accountability. he can cry all he wants, but the wife being a piece of trash doesn't excuse him/ them from anything. he's just so frustrating to watch. the wife deserves hell but if he wasn't going to be faithful he shouldn't have made that commitment to marry her in the first place, regardless of her pregnancy. poor juwon having those two asssholes as parents. too much screentime is being taken up by these idiots. i only want to see the BEST FRIENDS interacting. their sleepover was the highlight of the episode and it was still so short. this is so disappointing, i guess i'm only continuing at this point to support the cast and see how it ends but this definitely did not meet my expectations :/ also i wish joohee slapped that disgusting rude customer after she quit, it would've been even more amazing

i'm sorry but i just cannot be bothered by any of the men's storylines. the romances are one thing but i literally do not give a f*ck about seonwoo's sister or his family at all. and i certainly will never give a f*ck about jinseok and his little screwed up marriage. i feel so bad for the kid but that's it. why are these people taking more screen time than the besties interacting? ugh so disappointing to me. i want to see more of the three women together** poor joohee always being left on the back burner

so I'm at the part where the wife tells jinseok the kid isn't actually his. and lol. i just still don't really like JS. not an ounce of pity tbh. "if you hadn't gotten pregnant i wouldn't have married you." LOL what a joke. does he think he's some noble gentleman and did this woman/baby a favor by getting into a loveless marriage?? i rolled my eyes so hard when he said he, juwon and chanyoung were all victims. give me a fucking break. nobody held a gun to your head and forced you to marry her just because she got knocked up. you decided to make that damn big commitment on your own and YOU fucked up, jinseok. regardless of how shitty the wife is, that still does not justify what he and chanyoung have been doing. he's acting as if this absolves him from the shit he's been doing behind his family's back. and yeah, if you never loved her anyway why did you wait until just NOW to ask for a divorce? idiot. the only person in this situation i feel deeply sorry for is that child who is surrounded by all these asshole adults.

this whole infidelity storyline is just dumb and frustrating honestly. i do not care to watch him or CY at this point. it's not like i'll be rooting for them when they get together plus she's not gonna live long anyway. like congrats chanyoung, waiting and begging the married man you love, has finally paid off, too bad youre dying soon LOL. bleh. i'd be more sad about CY's cancer if she wasn't tied to that storyline but her character has rubbed me the wrong way since the beginning so i don't even really feel emotionally attached to her. i feel more for everyone around her who are gonna feel the loss of a loved one. i thought this was supposed to be more focused on the female friendships but i am seeing way too much of these men/lovelines tied into the story. seonwoo was cute at first but now him popping up randomly everywhere is just slightly annoying and joohee is always brushed off to the side which makes me question if she is even a main character sometimes. she deserves more!! she's so sweet, warmhearted, and fun to watch.

one thing is for sure though, these women are absolutely stunning and their acting is top notch. i mean the whole cast in general is gorgeous and lee musaeng has always been sexy but i just can't with his character

sorry lee musaeng i love you but jinseok is annoying as hell and i wish they would show him less. every time he's on screen i fight the urge to skip. you literally have a wife and kid???? why are you so up chanyoung's ass. sure, it seems like his wife is shady too based on his interaction with her about dropping the charges, but if he feels that way, why " put up" with her in the first place? if you don't care about this woman and this is a loveless marriage, why not divorce her to be with the woman you "actually care about?" bleh he's such a cowardly selfish loser. the arguments "we don't know the full picture to judge" or "it's not that simple" are dumb too. even if his wife sucks, chan young and him are still trash for what they're doing lol. even if he just married the wife because she got pregnant, he still made that commitment and it doesn't make it any less wrong for him to be sneaking around with CY even if they've never touched. emotional cheating is still cheating and sometimes way worse. the wife was right to say those things to CY. dying or not, begging a married man to leave his wife is so embarrassing and pathetic. then CY had the audacity to call him at the police station too and ask him to tell his wife what to do. give me a break. i won't even be happy for her if he divorces and she finally gets with him lmao. she's not getting a happy ending regardless. i wanted to like chanyoung so bad bc of jeon mido but i'm not feeling her character at all. i just feel bad for whoever the kid is in that situation most of all. this couple/ storyline is so frustrating and kills the vibe. i just want to watch the three women's friendship thrive and grow. i want to see more of joohee!!!! i'm most intrigued about where her storyline is going to go.

also WHY TF does mijo know about cy's cancer before her??? that makes zero sense to me. feels like a huge violation tbh.

the pure satisfaction i've been getting every episode when the shitty 2nd couple keeps getting what they deserve. that loser scumbag and his dumb bitch wife are so incompetent and pathetic it's hilarious. siwoo is so unbothered by his ex and hakyung spitting out straight facts and knowledge leaving yujin speechless was perfect. she had no real facts because she's a stupid trashy reporter and kijoon basically said that too. theyre already turning on each other i love it. kijoon trying to put his wife in place while also being looked down on by his own boss and other guys in the office brings me so much joy. i hope this happens every episode hahaha they clearly don't even trust each other or communicate properly. that's what happens when you start a relationship through adultery.

then hakyung and kijoon's conversation where he looked so ashamed after hahaha. ugh she's winning and i love siwoo's cheekiness and straightforwadness. i'm actually enjoying this drama way more than i expected. i think hakyung's mom is annoying as hell though i don't need her scenes lol.

the last 10 minutes gave me life. tbh i like how fast it's going because they're showing there's not a singular way to start a relationship or fall in love and it doesnt always need to be some kind of traditional slow burn. sometimes you get caught up in the tension, passion and chemistry then recklessly fall for another regardless of potential consequences. i get it. i just hope the middle doesnt drag on or disappoint since the pace is much different here. fingers crossed
