i know i should just watch as its own entity but i can't help but constantly compare to JTV bc i loved it so much. it's not in a bad way tho. i'm having a good time so far. i miss the voiceover like others have said, but i think they've done a really great job capturing the essence and tone of jane the virgin. it's funny, lighthearted, and still over the top. for those complaining about the typical tropes and cliches--- that's literally the point of the show lmao. they also did well with tweaking the story so that it's more fitting of a kdrama just the like how the og was with telenovelas.

sung hoon seems typecast into these kinds of characters but i truly believe he is the perfect raphael. the rich playboy ceo type who actually turns out to be this genuine sweet caring thoughtful man is one of my fave tropes. also he's sexy as f. he's little puppy eyes when he's talking to woori. ugh he's so precious. and i love it when he stands up for himself and screams at that stupid annoying bitch mari. i need her and her evil psycho mom to d*e or something immediately lmao. idc if her character in the og had some of the best development she can f off and rot. they're extra annoying in this show

also i didn't expect much from the fl as i'm not her biggest fan in general but i'm actually enjoying her here. and the actor who plays her dad is hilarious

i'm just so furious watching that dumb bitch doctor just bow her head and apologize like she didn't fuck up immensely. she needs her ass beat and her license/job revoked

i honestly wasn't quite sure how i felt about the drama while watching most of the episodes but the sixth episode sealed the deal. i was sobbing through a lot of that finale lol. i loved it. it was just so incredibly beautiful and heartbreaking yet healing at the same time. finally learning the magician's back story was so screwed up and then seeing the same thing happen for hwang inyeop's character. ugh the acting was superb and the overall themes and messages will stick with me for awhile. everything about this was beautiful and so relatable. ngl i did skip some musical numbers though but i did enjoy the ones i did see lol. i give this an 8.5/10

would have dropped this already if it wasn't for chae jonghyeop honestly. lmao the story isn't that special but it's his charisma and chemistry with the FL that keeps me going. i literally don't care about anyone else they're all annoying as f*ck. and especially junghwan is a little prick and that other salty bitch yeongshim. i know what happened in the past is a huge reason for why these teammates act this way but idgaf. none of them are likeable regardless. a bunch of weak losers. i love when taejun stands up to those bullies it's so attractive

i was so excited for this drama cause of the cast and i was afraid i'd hate it because of all the mixed reviews. but i actually did enjoy it. i mean, it had me hooked until the very end. i loved the concept and the gore was excellent and so fun!! i just wish they explored the mythology more and they handled the characters better. i think if it stayed 6 eps but had normal kdrama length like 60-70 minutes things could've been better. i hope we get a season 2. there was more potential for nam dareum's character instead of being just a punching bag. dongyeon's acting was great even though yongju was a piece of trash. soojin and kijoon look like they make an amazing team and we barely got a taste of it unfortunately. i gave it an 8/10

what a trash fcking ending i can't believe i wasted my time on this and these dumb ass characters. the only likeable one was jin bae. it's been 26 years what makes you think this old piece of shit is gonna apologize now? so dumb. they had so many opportunities to actually just shoot but they kept running their damn mouths. and if mi jin didn't bitch out and just taken the shot instead of wasting time getting sentimental then freezing up, the mission would have been complete and all these people wouldn't have had to die. and jung hyuk is a little bitch plain and simple fck that rat.. omg i am furious how the everything dragged like that just to end so stupidly and abruptly. i know this movie came out a decade ago but WTF wow

not fully showing the kiss should be criminal!! i loved their chemistry so much and when he said "let it be anything" as a response to her "offer he can't refuse" whew ahn bohyun is so sexy. and this is definitely my favorite role of joboah. this show was such a fun ride. i'm still lowkey upset noh hwa young didn't get beat up at least once though ugh. i am such a huge fan of kang woo seok after his acting here! tae nam was such trash at first but his reform and growth by the end was actually heartwarming to me. he really did a 180 and i love his relationship with bolt. that was excellent character development. i might be generous with a 9.5/10 but i don't care lmao i had a lot of fun and i looked forward to seeing this cast every week. i do think the ending wrapped up a little too quickly/ conveniently and i'm surprised they didn't touch on the patriotic society going down more but whatever i guess lol still a solid watch!

the drama and discourse here is almost more entertaining than the actual first 2 episodes lmaoo but kim youngdae and lee sungkyung together seem like they will be great pair. i do just wanna say this though:

yong moon goo wasn't slapped around enough for me i need him and noh hwa young turned into a bloody pulp in this finale. obviously the leads aren't gonna die that easily either but i guess we'll find out for sure tomorrow

jong suk is such a joke i'm glad kyung min took him down with him in the end. it was a very fitting ending. i cried at the flashback with the kids though ugh :( i seriously wished for a happier ending for HKM because he deserved so much better in life but unfortunately it was never in the cards with how this story goes, so I'm glad he at least got some sort of peace by taking down those bullies and cheol's killer. tbh i would've felt more sorry for jong suk but he killed cheolie and grew into some annoying piece of trash cop so that eliminated all my pity and compassion for him. he sucks and i'm beyond happy to see that bitch go. yeah sure he was a victim too and you can blame the trauma he dealt with for all his actions leading up to this point but i really don't care for that bs since he murdered my precious cheolie, the only person who actually defended him/protected him and HKM. therefore i hate jongsuk. i am upset the public didn't find out the truth about him but regardless at least that fcker is dead. also i wish the teacher got what he deserved because he was an adult at the time who just let shit go, ignored everything, and contributed to the abuse. i wanted to see him get wrecked

all in all, this was a 9.5/10 for me i'm gonna miss this drama and the way it had me on the edge of my seat every weekend and holding my breath

sobbed watching pyun sang ho's trial. he deserved so much better. the flashbacks of him with taenam just showed how bright his spirit was but then he snapped and couldn't endure the pain anymore :(. it was heartbreaking. and watching his mom was so sad too. i truly do not care about justice i only care about revenge especially in the realm of dramas and fiction so it's upsetting to see him get sentenced to execution when those evil pieces of trash deserved what they got for ignoring his abuse/ contributing to it. i don't want to see sergeant ma and all those losers investigated lmao i want to see them get wrecked like the rest of the people at that base. anyway noh hwa young and her ugly ass side burns piss me off but i'm glad tae nam came out with the full truth. woo seok's acting was so excellent in ep 13 and 14!!! it seems he is on his way to redemption but i'm going to need more for that to actually happen because this doesn't absolve him of his gross crimes. anyway, i'm curious to see what hajoon's next move is with moon goo ugh i don't want it to end, this drama has been so fun to watch and it is criminally underrated

i'm loving how it's unfolding and how it sticks to the anime movie pretty accurately while still adding so much more to the story. jong suk is so annoying to watch though i don't feel sorry for his ass one bit. he's acting out and getting all angry at everyone around him because he doesn't want to be exposed for what he did. fcking loser. watching him suffer and become unhinged is fun tbh . poor cheolie :( i just wish kyung min completes his mission of taking out everybody before he gets caught or killed. and i hope that includes jongsuk. i'm always gonna be on HKM side lmao chanyoungs punishment wasn't brutal enough for me but i'm so excited to see how things end next week this was such an amazing thrill ride

that last episode messed me up. NON STOP TEARS i wasn't prepared. but it was so beautiful. ugh i just love this cast and this show in general. all the different stories and struggles portrayed has been so entertaining and emotional. but ep 6 especially got me good. rowoon is also extra cute as junwoong

1. i know kang hajoon most likely joined moon goo so that he could be a man on the inside, but if that's not the case and he actually betrayed them i'll be so annoyed. this show is pretty predictable tho so i'm sure he really is still a good guy he just has to hide it for now to make things more believable.
2. my heart hurts for pyun sang ho:( he endured so much disgusting torture and he finally had enough. when he was crying hugging his mom i felt so bad. ugh it was so satisfying seeing all those nasty losers get what they deserved, i loved it. too bad he didn't finish the job. i just wanted to see him kill his number one abuser before getting caught because i hate that disgusting fcker.
3. i love wooseok's acting. he has been so good at playing noh tae nam!! i still don't feel bad for him though because despite his ptsd and everything else he is also still a piece of trash so watching him suffer is enjoyable.
4. i'm sad this drama is ending next week damn it
