in my opinion, it's not necessarily needed but it will be great if u watch both because altho i haven't watch "Forever and Ever", i'm pretty sure that it will turn out as great as "One and Only" and both drama do have connection, but even so they both can stand by their own (if one of the drama wasn't release right after the other ended) and still worth to watch. at first i thought that "One and Only" will have a happy ending because before i finish it i was listening to the ost by Zhang Bichen on youtube at the end of the mv. Shiyi said she gonna marry Zhou Shengchen, but after i finish i just knew that was her longing him because he has died. ps : i rarely watch unhappy ending drama but this drama is just whole next level of love without any kiss scene but all meanings behind are still delivered very well -and english isnt my 1st language pardon me for any mistake^^-
