currently rewatching and LOLing so much! yes knock knock boys is super underrated and a hidden gem. its super funny with a kind of bizarre/raunchy comedy but also just a sweet roomates comfort show i just watched the onsen episode and remembered how funny this series is

Such a good first episode!! I came with the ITSAY wave and have not watched all of the ”oldies” such as Sotus, so this is my intro to Krist Singto and I absolutely love their chemi so far! Though I have watched Be my favourite and He’s coming to me and they are both some of my fave dramas. Both krist and singto have those puppy eyes that can convey emotion very well 🐶
Wait, waiiiiiiiit, WAIT!!! The acting in episode 8!!!!!!!!! sheeeesshhhh. I mean im not surprised, ive seen joss in 3 will be free and gavin in like everything and i think theyre both very great actors. But the way they shined today! I think it was extra prominent because this drama is inconsistent in its tone and quality(not hating it just is what it is) every little micro expression and every move they made was just perfect iiiiiihhhhhhhh. the scenes between joss and gawin specifically when mark was hesitating and tong was comforting him, looked like it belonged in a high quality film hellooooooooo

yoooooooo.... okay so i gotta be honest i did not fully understand everyone complaining in the beginning. i could see it for sure but i was just hopeful week after week that it was just a slowburn and obvi the actor of heesu was young so that would make the series more teen vibes.
but my GOSH this last episode and i thought okay but after ALL OF THIS(second couple bullshit and the crappy editing and the confessing started to drag WAY to much) after ALL THIS they were going to make up for it with the cutest and most adorable confession scene, the setting was perfect! but no... nooooooooooooooo!!!! NOT ONLY DID THEY MAKE SW just stand there and chicken out THEY CUT THE FKN SCENE AGAIN, that was JARRING! insane editing in the worst way possible for this series and it was always sw end heesus scenes, what bullshit.
i have not read the webtoon so im not the first voice in who should critique this but i dont know i think its so sad because the acting is 10/10. the actors of the ACTUAL main leads are really great and likeable. i cant be mad of the adaptation beacause i havent read it but im mad because this drama really had potential i think thats why EVERYONE is mad. staying true to the source material or not, Ahn Jiho and Lee Sang Jun was great and the dialogue and writing was good and natural(if you cut out the obvious crap that everyone has already pointed out) there was nothing cringey and the characters was well rounded and real. the tone and the space theme was so nice and cozy. was this done right i think this could have been a real comfort drama for most of us, the ones you watch over and over and a drama that would stand the test of time, a classic in other words i hope the actors get another chance in a true bl, their chemistry was great.
Mark is an seasoned actor that can do anything and baby ohm has been 10/10 in both last twilight and kidnap(he and middle ohm was a dream team) It should be impossible for it to go this wrong but also it isn’t so bad it’s just not good, and that’s kind of worse in my world because I’m a fine taster(lol) or I will gulp down so bad it’s good/campy like there’s no tomorrow Makes me sad to see this page being full of disappointment but makes me sadder that I agree :( I REALLY wish gmm made a better decision and thought hmmm great actor + great actor = a serious script in which they could shine and explore their chemistry and dynamic and wtf let mark show off his skills a bit more like in Only friends I hope they get their Not Me after their Cooking crush(Theory of love was still better)
