just a little note: one of the best examples of what i mean is until we meet again because it seems like we all agree that its a solid drama and i always see people loving it and its kind of a classic. i love it too and its seriously one of my favorites but omg the sillyness and sometimes awkwardness and the f-ing background music and sound effects are the wildest things ive ever witnessed >.< buts its amazing! and the flavour!

I truly love this form of dramas especially the thai ones and especially gmmtv. and the best part is that now it has evolved and there are all types of thai bl dramas with different tones and genres, but i still think they almost always have some part of that tv drama cheesyness and i love it! its i type of flavour, you get me?
with all of that said..... XD yes they were going to damn hard with those flashbacks omg! i could not concentrate on the best scenes yet! also kanghans sudden crush on pim and pims sudden crush on sailom and the total neglect of the bullying arc, yea that was all weird but im like still hoping they will give us some sort of explanation on all that. if not i still think this is a solid drama for what it is, the thing was that we expected something else and believe me i wanted that too :( but its a treat to watch chimon and perth act, they are sooooo good. and pretty omg ok bye
*insert that wooOOooOw sound effect* this is SO well acted and well written! the dialogue is beautiful between the leads and it fits the 1920 khun yai to be that poetic going back and watching the earlier episodes and the teaser and trailer now it all comes together, this is gonna be sooooo beautiful!

soooo this was what it was... gave me some fluff and escapism and thats good enough for me to tune in every week i need to mention the steamy scenes(lol) just because of LITA and if were on the same page they were actually something else! kinda iconic in the thai bl world regardless what you thought of the drama right, i felt like in WP the directing was there maybeeee but it did not stand out in that portion sadly :P also nuea/pak is SO PRETTY ohmygosh! his face in that natural lighting in those bed scenes, so beautiful!
neo is so FINE seriously good first episode, nice camerawork and shots, the show has an overall good looking aesthetic, everyones acting is solid and good and seriously did i mention that NEO IS SO FINE!?! also i love mark <3

like everyone else i did not expect much and the first episode did not knock me down(:P) in fact at first but even in that first episode i felt there was something special. Like come on there was a musical number with thugs doing doo wop and handing their boss flowers to give to his love interest! I think that was the moment i was hooked without knowing and from there i really fell in love with this drama.
I rewatched the whole series in two days now and i felt that i needed to give it the credit and love it deserves. A few things that is just awesome in IWKY:
+ the soundtrack of my dreams! Those retro songs fit the vibes amazingly and all the newery songs fit the sweet cute vibes. Also found one of my favorite songs ever that i will keep with me: Jai Rak by Suchart Chawangkul that WOOOWOOOWOOOOOOOOHOOOOHOOOHOOOOOOO + the ML were just perfect for each other. like i know love is love and you dont pick who you fall for but these two just made sense. everything about their style, vibe and personalities fit. their differences just gave them more chemistry. + it was TRULY funny, like genuinly. i understand many feel like it was over the top but i think quite the opposite, it was those smal understated things that was so funny like their mannerisms. like thi's little :S hoooooo *runs away* and all of noeys nonsense. + all the relationships were so wholesome and felt real and genuine like noey and thiw(they seem to be really good friends irl and that shows) noey and his mom and sister, thi and his friends, the whole community, it was all very sweet. + i felt like i saw alot of thai culture that i havent seen before and it was really nice to see when i actually watch a THAI series. and to that the thai retro music and the all over retro vibe with the details of old thai movies in noeys room and all the references contributed to that.
i can honestly keep on going but im gonna leave it with just some miscellaneous things:
noeys little laughs, thi's pajamases, the fact that tar the actor of noey do trap music and is tatted up irl(!), the huge duck plushie, the twerking, the "sweet wanlapha's", all of their outfits and fashion, THE ENDING and just the heart this drama has! <3
HELLO BB EPISODE 1?!? this was so good??? honestly the first our skyy episode that was actually good and not just ”a treat for us fans” lol im a fan of like every series in OS but i did not enjoy a single episode so far, until now 🥺 they kept the spirit and feel of og bad buddy series but it still felt fresh especially now with the crossover! im so excited!! and happy!

sheeeeesh this is a mess! obviously they got me thru santa. the korean speaking thing could be solved if these shows had a clear rule about how much korean you need to know to pass in the early stages/audition. If its not a mandatory rule then well everyone should keep their mouths shut about it lol. so weird. and why do i feel like they avoid the language problem with santa and yaya, so they can keep me watching lol honestly the weight things and visual things are not even worth commenting on, its honestly just SAD. ew!
im sensing a 10/10 here... the vibes, the chemistry between ml, the music and even the intro and titel font! sheeeeeshhhhh i love love love this! and i love how it really feels like sk/seoul for real and not just the drama version if you know what i mean. i really love the sounds in this drama
i think this was a nice watch, not semantic error level but a solid kbl for sure! the standing problem with korean bls is the budget? i guess, they are to short and that stands in the way of the potential of some shows and even the solid ones imagine what some more time would have done for the character and relationship developments and just allover but it is what it is, im very happy about astco and our dating sim, big level up
on another note... IM ALL OUT OF BLS HELP, literally binged lakorn to sir, with love in two days bc of how dry it is out here atm.... lol
