I am not sure by your meaning of bland and boring FL as both Dilraba Dilmurat (long ballad) and Li Yi Tong (court lady) are stunning and naturally had good acting in those drama :-). The reason i like court lady because its plots pacing is opposite of long ballad. It’s start slow then unpredictably stronger toward the end; and wrapped up with the best ending you could ever wish for historical/political drama. As you said everything in GOT were amazing until season finale which was not everyone’s cup of a tea; ending with Jon Snow killed Daenerys! But it’s still masterpiece with all the rollercoaster of unpredictable plots. Yes true, everybody lhas their own preference in the end :-)

I was amazed by Li Yitong in Royal Nirvana 1 and 2. So, I’ve watched Court lady, it is more fun and interesting to watch as it has stronger adorable cast, much better acting , unpredictable plots and balanced comedy twist. It’s just beautifully made and performed, though may need more episodes to make story flowing in a perfect pace. But, the crew has done well regardless the new regulation to shorten the episodes. Many hate the unexpected deaths of good characters throughout, but how many good characters that Game of Throne needed to kill to make it a master piece :-)

So do I! For me this meticulous effort and tremendous acting deserve high appreciation. It’s happened with Royal Nirvana which was actually so good in everything and had more complex plots but suffered after the shortening episodes. Then ,when they aired the Royal Nirvana special, everything were explained in detail with extra 12 episodes, it was perfect. This is why I admire Li Yi Tong, no matter what happened with the drama she would give her best. It’s just so sad that she’s underrated and sometimes called as drama assassin in her own home. That’s very mean! She is actually beautiful and brilliant actress. Thus, 10 out of 10 should be for both of her best historical dramas. That’s the most appropriate!

After watching it to the end, I do think this is a great drama and one of the best historical drama to date! The unpredictable story line with cleverly comedy twist and amazing cast and acting have made this drama refreshingly exciting. Many complaining about the surprising plots and deaths of good characters. Well, how many good characters in a master piece tv drama like Game of Throne were killed unexpectedly!!That’s what made it so thrilling! Court lady is beautifully made and performed drama with brilliant story line and characters development. I just hope they make more than 55 eps to make it flowing in perfect pace (which I’ve heard it’s not possible now based on new rule in china, hence, it’s made shorter). But, the crew and cast has done amazing job already! So, yes I love it!

I have coped with other brilliant unforgettable political/historical dramas with amazing acting cast such as Ruyi, the Royal’s Love in the Palace (Wallace Huo and Zhou Xun), the Rise of the Phoenixes (Chen Kun & Ni Ni) and Royal Nirvana 1 & 2 ( Luo Jin & Li Yi Tong) which have more sadistic plots which I recommended for political dramas lover. So yes, court last is definitely lighter with its comedy twist :-)

It’s actually what the political and historical drama would be though. Always many painful scenes to watch and perhaps not always a happy ending. You are dealing with story in the palace, nothing would always make sense what royals could do with their power. So, I actually like court lady so much as the comedy twist in historical drama has made it refreshing and lighter to watch.

I disagree, as this is the most interesting historical/political drama to watch. Not as heavy as usual political/historical drama which always have many conflicts and not always a happy ending. Court lady has good balance of comedy vibe and all brilliant cast which make it lighter to enjoy and for me ‘unforgettable’ :-)

To be honest, these what make the court lady is the most exciting historical drama which always have painful scenes to see anyway. So, the comedy twist is very clever and refreshing to make a heavy historical/political delightfully lighter to watch despite the ending. It is a beautifully made and a brilliant drama to watch now!

I think this drama perfectly portrayed the love and life of 19 years old teen though! Immature not sure want they really want as they are on the path of finding their best self, making choices between love or patriotism. I kinda like it actually as the plot is trying to lead us to witness how each characters grow. I have been actually prepared to see more built-up conflicts as we are talking about historical/ political drama here, always has painful scenes to see. So far, the story is moving in a good pace. I am intrigued to see how they would wrap the ending :-)

Absolutely! I got that impression too in court lady ep13. Well, some great Hollywood actress who never went to acting school such as Meg Ryan and Tom Cruise proven to have natural acting; and more sophisticated expressive eyes and beautiful smile than the bunch of actors from acting school. I have caught this after watching all out acting of Li Yitong for the first time in Royal Nirvana season1 and 2 in UK. She’s bloody brilliant there. Since then, I have watched most of her drama and been following her works. For me, she is one of the best Chinese actress nowadays, her dramas has made my days :-)

I do admire Li Yi Tong the most amongst the Chinese actresses nowadays. Many times I stated that She’s simply beautiful and naturally great in acting. I’ve watched most of her works and never disappointed me. So, yes I will definitely enjoy the court lady. Even the trailer and first four episodes have already made me smile and happy! Li Yi Tong and Xu Kai are adorably good looking couple who can guarantee a great natural acting in each role they play. So far, storyline, cinematography and costumes are fabulous. And Li Yitong once again is one of the most beautiful bride in wedding dress in any era! This is going to be the most exiting drama to watch now! I’ll be patiently waiting for the English Subtitled episodes to come out each week. It’s worth it!

Well, none of her dramas were rated below 7, which is consistently good. I have watched most of her dramas and none of them disappointed me. Though, she actually deserves awards for her in depth acting in Royal Nirvana! One of my most favorite of hers,

I have been following her in England and trying to look for dramas starred by Li Yi Tong via any channels. No doubt, she is adorably beautiful and remarkably talented. Many have criticised her look which may be forgettable on screen. But to be honest, she is actually smart and naturally good in acting, much better than many of Chinese actresses who are published to be more beautiful or popular than her. And yes indeed, she has been the leading role in all her dramas and most of her dramas have very good rating. You basically can throw any characters on her really and she would just execute them professionally beautiful. Watch her in the recent tv show “When We Write Love Story” You would see how good she (partnered with Wang Yan Lin) actually is in doing impromptu acts and developing more exciting storyline about love (compared with the other actresses in the show). So what the popularity! I admire her lovely look, professionalism and humble personality more. The reason of her slow popularity definitely not because of her lack of beauty or acting skill, but simply because she is just workaholic and always choose to keep a good distance from show-off publications. Moreover, people outside the Chinese mainland like me sometimes find mixed-up publications of the actress, Li Yi Tong (Huang Rong , in the Legend of the Condor Heroes, Appledog in Go Go Squid 2; and Wenxi in Royal Nirvana) mistakenly portrayed as different Li Yitong who is the average singer of SNH48. So, last but not least, Li Yi Tong of the Bloody Romance is one of the Chinese actress who obviously deserves more recognition from you guys as she is actually bloody fantastic! :-)
