"The F&E director is definitely on the same level as O&O", oh, but his body of work as per kisskh is few and I have only watched this drama. As against Guo Ho, he has a lot of dramas in his name and I watched and enjoyed a few of them too. Thank you for your answers to my comments, I really enjoy discussing dramas I've watched.

That comic relief moments became predictable and irritating. Oh btw, the interrupted kisses were not in a public place, it was in their bedroom except for the one in the car. It is regrettable that they used a different director for FaE but at least they changed to one of the directors of Ten Miles Peach Blossom (Guo Ho) for OaO. π€
Pink moped, lame kiss and "I am ready"...LOL!!! πππI was totally not ready for that fantastic punchline…
And to use "I am ready" line twice, as if once is not enough! Interrupting kissing scenes 4 or 5 times even in the last scene of the drama, a romantic comedy in a high school/college setting do better than this. π
I watched OaO before this drama and I was disappointed. So if you ask me, watch Forever and Ever first, then watch OaO if your still curious with their previous life. For me, OaO, is the superior drama even with a tragic ending. I had high expectations for FaE but it was said, it had a different director and it was filmed first. Hope this helps.

I appreciate your very detailed comparison between the novel and FaE which makes me glad that I did not read the novel but I will read it after the FaE finishes airing to relieve my frustrations with this drama. I only watched and loved OaO and the trailer released last May and had high expectations for the OTP. I hope the last 8 episodes gives us a satisfying ending.
There was only one miserable kiss scene in TROP but it was HOT nonetheless, all of their interactions screamed…
I think a lot of commenters are not really looking for passionate love scenes (but it can enhance the love story), they want a reversal of the story in OaO where they can freely show their love for each other in words and in action. It is always the FL who initiate and the ML always seem reluctant to take action which is not natural for married couples. This maybe director's interpretation of the ML's character. The actor was so good in OaO that you cant help but think is he the same guy?
