oh gosh, wait a damn minute! what a man! what a photo! Give him, finally, a leading role in a quality drama he deserves, cause this is an actor who can do anything and will shine in any genre, be it comedy, drama, melodrama or an action-packed thriller.
The thesis "he's a bad actor" is not hate, especially when it is also well-reasoned. Am I a fan of his visuals? Yes. Have I watched his works and think he's a bad actor? Yes, I do. Was I confused by the word "versatile" in the description of Cha Eun-wooâs acting? More than that. Unfortunately, in Korean cinema, it is often the visuals and popularity that outweigh the acting skills when choosing actors for the main roles, and this is very frustrating because it ruins interesting projects. "Just don't watch it" sounds very logical, but I adore Park Gyu Young and Lee Hyun Woo, and I was very interested in the idea and the vibe of this drama, so I don't want it to be ruined either. Especially as fans of the webtoon say that Cha Eun Woo doesn't even fit in visually;) Everyone will be very happy if this is a breakthrough for him and he finally shows us emotions and actually good, quality acting, but people have the right to express their concerns about bad casting, and everyone who thinks blind bigotry and worship is the only true opinion should shut up before telling others to do so.
At first, when I saw Park Bo Young and Kim Seon Ho, I thought they were going to be the new on-screen couple, while being one of my most desired duos, and together with Kim Seo Hyung and Lee Byung Hun - crazy! And even though it turned out to be just nominations, I am extremely happy for both of them, no, for the four of them, as well as for the other winners. It's a rare occasion when I fully agree with every nomination, every choice and every decision.
I don't know how to say this correctly(đ), but Hae In has the kind of... suitable... appearance for many actresses. I mean, I can imagine him with so many, whereas with other actors I can say "no, they don't really go well together". And, yes, Esom is incredible, love her!! And also I would add Im Se Mi and Moon Ka Young to the list too)) p.s. I haven't been on MDL for a few days, and, wow, 104 comments...
SO JIN!! Itâs so delightful to see my absolute favourite idol-turned actress happyđ„č best wishes to both of them! the couple photoshoot is incredibly beautiful and they look so cute and in love:> stunning couple!
Well, I watched the rest of it. The only thing that changed my opinion was the music: gorgeous guitar sounds, appropriate melodies and Karina's delightful ost. Otherwise, it was a dull bore. I had high hopes for this drama because the story is really interesting and the cast is great. It had a huge potential to show quality action, but they successfully blew it, because instead of action we got just a lot of pathos. Poorly staged fight scenes, a lot of bloopers (I already wrote in the last comment an example), as well as, for example, hiding behind a wooden table from the gun, guns that never run out of ammunition, the Japanese soldiers who, having a lot of opportunities to shoot the rebels, for some reason at these moments decided not to do it, giving them time to epically show off in the frame, and so on. None of the main characters died, which, based on the situations in which they found themselves and the realities of the time period, is completely unrealistic, and makes the villains unconvincing. Also, the drama had the potential to create a touching romance that is far from being the centre of the story, but still hooks the audience and with this they have already coped better. The main characters did have some beautiful moments, but Kim Nam Gilâs and Lee Ho Jungâs characters had a lot more chemistry, which is still good). Yes, the emphasis may have been on comedy, but no, there's not much humour there and most of it seems forced and not funny. Everything, including the romantic line, is quite stilted and compressed, as if it was filmed in a hurry, the narration doesn't catch the viewers, the years go by and nothing actually happens. On the good side: the show is doing a very important job of being an "ode" to that time period, the tragic Korean history and the people who fought for their homeland. This really needs to be highlighted and shown to the public. I am still impressed with the cinematography, colourists' work and acting, especially Lee Ho-jong, Lee Hyun Wook and Cha Chang-hwa - incredible! It was also a joy to see really strong female characters here, who are fighting on par with men) I would not recommend it, however, because for me, unfortunately, despite high expectations and some pluses, it was a disappointment and wasted time.
I'm 2 series in now and quite disappointed. Too much pathos, ridiculous, poorly acted antics of the villains (Japanese), very poorly and inappropriately chosen musical accompaniment and most frustratingly - poorly staged fight scenes. In the battle, in which we were introduced to the members of the "gang" in the second episode, while they were one at a time dealing with the soldiers, stopping, showing off, etc. they could have been shot ten times already, and there were many more examples like that))) But, the stellar perfomance from all the 9 main actors and very beautiful cinematography)
Being more domineering - okay, cool, but here, based solely on the teaser, it seems like the Fl aggressively harasses…
I hope the drama will go in the same direction as the webtoon synopsis you wrote, thanks for that explanation) I understand your outrage about other commenters, and consequently about mine, but I read the comments with similar context only under the article about the teaser, so I wrote why people think and talk about harassment, because the teaser, with its cut scenes really leaves that impression. Speaking about the phrase of the ML, the teaser made me think that he will later on overstep the boundaries, like the character in Nevertheless, HDL, IONTBO, Backstreet roockie, after the harrasses, and since he is such a pai boy, at first he will blame himself for it, that he "fell for it". I personally love strong, bright, interesting female characters and the trailer just made me worry that such a character would be ruined again by going the typical way with just reversed aggression and romanticization of toxic trait.

Let's start with the trailer - the moment you mentioned and the kiss in the kitchen is something I can put down to likely harassment. Yes, my line about "clearly unpleasant" was probably unnecessary, but that's the impression I got from the trailer. yes, 2 moments isn't much, but the trailer sets the mood of the drama, you know) Yes, it may seem that way because of the cutscenes, and I sincerely hope it is, because I'm going to watch the drama, but yes, the trailer makes it seem like harassment. Even if I like someone, I don't want them to molest me until I'm ready for physical contact. Also I probably wouldn't have thought so, if it wasn't so common in dramas: a pai boy, shy and passive and an overly assertive girl, all in the most romanticised way, where the characters end up with a happy ending, while showing us toxic and unhealthy relationships(and we still are happy for them)) About the dramas you mentioned: yes, I did watch them, because they had their pluses and their interesting stories, but it was for aspect of harassment that I lowered their scores. And this drama, even if these romanticised molestations will happen, I would watch it. it's not a fact that I will watch it till the end, cause it depends on the plot, but after your description of the details it became even more interesting))) Suzy was one of the key elements why I wanted to watch this drama, despite the fact that I donât particularly like her on-screen partner in it) âWhile You Were Sleepingâ became one of my first and favorite dramas, and this is largely thanks to Suzy. and yes, consider all the people who just don't shout "oh yes, I admire and fan" not even about Suzy herself, but about the project she's starring in, as haters this is so typical for Suzy fans)) no one would have told you about the position of the victim if you werenât so offended/aggressive that you just generalized everything to hell by attributing other dramas, as if I tolerated everything and only offended Suzy's project, although I didn't say a word about that, even mentioning about how common it is ;)
Being more domineering - okay, cool, but here, based solely on the teaser, it seems like the Fl aggressively harasses…
And who said that "Hotel Del Luna" and "It's okay to be not okay" aren't included? I love Suzy and was really looking forward to this drama, because I think she has a special vibe, but yes, the last teaser upset me, and as I wrote in the comment on the article with it: I hope it just seems that way based on the unfortunate framing) so come on out of the position of the victim being attacked.
The irony of people assuming that Suzy's character is a player when she's actually the one who's devoted to Yang…
Being more domineering - okay, cool, but here, based solely on the teaser, it seems like the Fl aggressively harasses the Ml when the latter is clearly uncomfortable. I haven't read the manga and don't know about the characterâs personalities, actions, or their development, but those are just the conclusions the trailer draws, because really, this is a very big problem in kdramas. First we romanticised harassment by men everywhere, such as in âThe Heirsâ, then we started to see strong female characters, but often instead we get the same unhealthy, toxic relationships but in reverse.
