This girl’s born to act! I like watching her drama now after Reset and Princess Royal. There’s something special about her. Looking forward to watch more of her drama.
I’ve just rewatched this as the season 2 is finally out now. Undoubtedly, it’s still one of the best c-costume dramas of all time. Interesting plots and refreshingly fun to watch, Zhang Rouyun is perfect for Fan Xian. I am just pleased they replaced Xiao Zhan for Yan Bing Yun. His acting and look were overrated by many imo. I always think many c actors are actually more good looking and better actor than him. I hope the new Yan Bing Yun in season 2 will do better job in portraying this character.
I’ve watched this movie twice only because Jing Tian in it despite I am not a big fan of the genre and story. But it’s enjoyable to watch. She’s actually good in her action movies. I saw her in pacific Rim - Upraising as well. I still don’t get why the people in her homeland have criticised her far too much as being a bad actress and she’s not as famous yet after all her Hollywood projects ? She perhaps hasn’t gotten the right movies? Imo, she is better and better by age.

To be honest I never really understand how the people in her own country has awarded her a disappointing actress while she actually won Hollywood award?! Her personal life might be like a rollercoaster, but it didn’t mean that she’s bad actress. I am not from mainland China, but I appreciate her and following all her works. I did personally feel her hard work and personal growth. Tbh, she’s one of the best c drama actress imo.

Always love to watch Drama with Jing Tian in it, and my goodness, it’s indeed a perfect pair with Xukai. Jing Tian is amazing and just simply gorgeous in both costume and modern drama. Who said she couldn’t act? I have seen her grown as an actress. Her acting is way better than other famous C-actresses who apparently have larger fan base than her. I am indeed yearning for her drama now! Anyone knows where to watch “Glory of Tang Dynasty” with English Sub, please?
I normally could not enjoy the Chinese movie as much I love watching Chinese TV series, costume/period genre. The short movie story mostly is not well developed. I watch this because of Jing Tian. As expected, she’s naturally beautiful, talented and badass actress 🥋She’s always worth to watch in and this movie is one of the good one 👍🏻
