Can you recommend me a Western show? I wanted to watch Fawlty Towers, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia or Little…
Actually a lot of people in Europe are against identity politics and are not easily offended. Please don't mistake trolls on the internet and very left media for "westerners". The problem is that in some cases people who too openly criticize "identity politics" even if they point valid common sense arguments, they are automatically labeled as racists, facists etc.... and may lose even a job. That's why on the internet You may see that "trolls" are louder, cause they at least for now, have nothing to lose. If You shut down the internet and talk with people in Europe, I can guarantee that majority of people have some common sense and are not into "identity politics".
why would You watch SD if You can find FULL HD easily ?
I prefer to watch on hdd than stream, so avistaz. Some things there are 2160p, although I see that now they have closed registration so either ask someone for invite (if they have some invitation left) or just buy seedbox just for a duration of 1 month (10Euro) and claim invitation. ps. Avistaz is torrent based.
Two episodes enjoyable to watch, although more because of two leads + fun factor than story itself. I don't predict anything extraordinary but hope fun aspect will be kept till the end.
So you are making this about men and women? No one is complaining about Sae ro yi because he is very simple and…
1) "so youre saying things like gender, race and sexual orentation are not important enough to be discussed?" never said that, didn't even crossed my mind. People are more than that, meaning that in general people treat each other mostly based on personality etc. 2) "somehow its a coincedence the girls were getting the most hate?" I already wrote one of the reason why people comment in certain way, but instead You choose to put Your focus on "hate" and "gender" instead of other possible logical explanations. Just in case "hate" I don't mean that You spread hate, but You choose to look at this, what about love and praises ? Because those roles also get more of positive comments. You could also say "ladies" get more attention in this show then "men", "ladies" get more positive comments than "men"...You could also find logical explanation why is that...yet You choose: " i see no complains about the men on this show". So sure You're feel free to think whatever You want, and if You choose to put more focus on identity politics, still go ahead. It's Your life, and Your life choices. But it doesn't hurt to ask Yourself a question: "why certain characters get more attentions", "why certain characters get more hate"... if You compare it to other dramas...You will see repetitive pattern...and it's mostly based on their roles/ behavior etc.. not because of gender.
Also, the scene when his brother comes to offer the job to YiSeo, my puppy has teeth! Yay! Also, I realized one…
Regarding his situation with soo ah, we can also say that if someone will act like him in a normal life, it would turn into relationship...You won't see many people acting like soo ah, someone say that he likes You, and You are almost ignoring it, normally either accept or deliberately reject. But i would say it's just lack of compatibility between them, it's almost like never ending testing grounds what I should do, what is right, what is wrong etc. Meanwhile with Yi Seo, they're different but they have similar core of personality "curiosity and will to understand", because of that their differences connect with each other and they can work better as team/partners. He will fill for her mistakes, she will fill for his.
So you are making this about men and women? No one is complaining about Sae ro yi because he is very simple and…
No worries, this person(nana) just either trolling, or is playing identity politics which is basically turn down people to just their characteristics like gender, race etc. You will see it on the internet from time to time, "they" are acting like they're doing that for some kind of justice or equality but in reality all they do is putting label on people, and they focus and prioritize their reasoning more on label than "who people are" (personality, experience etc.) . So in this case he/she just ignores fact that people usually comment about things that are controversial, non usual, changing etc. And this is one of the reasons why characters like yi seo, soo ah are commented more, especially that there are changes in their behavior. People are more than just gender, race, sexual orientation and so on, and unfortunately those who don't understand it (or pretend that they do) are playing into this identity politics game.
Can someone suggest some more drama with female lead like jo yi seo.
kind of similar, but no slapping etc. japanese drama Doctor X (freelancer, bold, high skilled dr), kdrama Graceful family (not exactly the same, but she knows her worth and has internal struggles). And movie with same actress who play Yi Seo - The Witch, she is different here...but if You haven't watch it. It's a must.
I have a huge list of the reasons why I hate Yi Seo, and after watching episode 8, I finally realized what it's…
Word racists, has unfortunately become trends nowadays. What she did she has described situation based on logic, and based on what we know so far it was all true. He is not korean yet, he knows it but he just can't accept that reality. And she has also mention obvious thing that at first glance people will not think he is korean, in normal circumstances if he had a passport with korean citizenship he would show it, people would be ahh o sorry I was biased, end of story. But he got only offended and acted like a victim, when in reality he doesn't have korean citizenship. Sure people at the bar were biased and didn't have any reason (as we know so far) to not accept people from Africa...so really low, Yi Seo was straightforward and a bit rude. But rude doesn't equal racism just because it's directed towards "black" person. Life doesn't turn around 1 person, we live here together so getting automatically offended because someone had different point of view than him is not a way to go.
Why does everyone hate soo ah so much?soo ah is thinking realistically, she's not an idealist. You have to see…
It's ok if You're fan of her, but saying that everyone hate her so much is simply a lie. From what I've seen here, some people dislike partially her personality traits, but You can also see people dislike some personality traits of Yi Seo(based on specific episodes). Same as people have a right to like some traits, they have also right to dislike it and there is nothing wrong with that, cause life is also about positive and negative things. It's very far from hate, and putting it into that category is big exaggeration.
Finished watching epi 7 & 8 and loved it. Loved the back story and what I loved most was the scene in the end…
Agree, and with Toni she was right. Guys at the bar did poorly of course. Toni not only got too easily offended, but is ignoring facts and other people perspective, so its hard to treat him seriously. He came from Africa, he doesn't have citizenship so he is not Korean yet. Even by blood he is half Korean. So I'm glad that she was able to tell him straight away that, instead of being afraid to not offend him and saying "yes You're". She was maybe a bit rude, but still ignoring reality because of emotions, and at the same time acting like the others are wrong not You...is not the way to solve any problems. He was stubborn, but glad she handled it that way and hope he will find his father, and get his citizenship.
i'll get jumped for saying this here but yiseo is annoying as fuuuuuuck like i get that her immaturity to an extent…
She is like a "kid" who has never been or seen, morally good, sensible adult. So even if some of her choices are confusing especially that she was presented as someone who is smart. I can deal with it and understand it, cause she looks like a person who lack moral intelligence. Second lady, oh soo ah putting me off more, cause she has seen moral adults, yet her behavior is a bit self destructive and chaotic. I get it that people can get psychological trauma etc., but in general I'm more forgiving toward Yi Seo not just because of age, but when she mess up, she at least try to analyse it and do something with it, with oh soo ah it looks that even if she thinks about it, it goes almost nowhere (at least for now). At this moment the characters I like the most are Hyuni Yi and Ho Jin.
Wow didnt see it coming, but she has had slaps in the show and she has never portrayed being one thing in front…
Agree, and in Yi seo case, from what I've seen she blame herself, she is just to prideful to openly say it. Some people have it that way, they think that if they show someone that they struggle and blame themselves they'll look weak, so instead of sitting, crying and blaming themselves, they torture themselves inside with it + trying to correct things and make it better. I've seen in life many people who blame themselves but they don't mean it, I prefer characters who prove their worth mostly with action. And she already has done plenty for this bar.
Jo Yi Seo should be called slap queen ;) And I like how they show characters development, Instead of being offended and saying "im right end of story", or blaming others for own mistakes. They show people who can consider that they have made mistake/wrong decision and they learn from it.
Gosh, I think I hate soo ah even more than I hate the evil chairman and his asshole son. I mean, I get that she…
I didn't like her role since 1st episode, maybe they will turn it around. That she works for them, to destroy them from inside. But still just her behavior, way of thinking etc. is kind of irritating( lack of consistency...acting like she is doing everything fine but in reality often quite opposite, villains at least are with clear message, but she is a little chaotic). On the other hand Da Mi acting is lovely, oh what a pleasure to watch her and in general ep3 was great. Hope drama will keep this level till the end.
