Title Trillion Game Spoiler
I'm on ep 7 and I'm thinking of dropping it. It started out quite strong and I like the acting performances of the main cast (esp Meguro Ren). However, it seems like it's not interested in actually exploring the ethical implications of running an IT startup and going up against a bigger megacorporation. Haru is presented as the most selfish person around and he does shady business but none of it has actually caused any substantial harm to either the public or themselves, even though they very well could (case in point, the hostage shootout in ep 7).

It's also remarkably unrealistic. For example, how does Kirihime keep handing them wins for free and what is she trying to accomplish by that? How can Trillion Game possibly create a streaming service from scratch in such a short frame of time? They keep succeeding and go through very few stumbling blocks. I am not a stickler for realism at all and some of my favourite shows are wildly unrealistic. But this is stretching it and not in an interesting way.

For a better exploration of the ethical dilemmas of running a tech startup, I suggest HBO's Silicon Valley. Nevertheless, I still like Meguro Ren a lot and will keep a lookout on his future movies/doramas.
