In my humble opinion, high school is about 75% class, studies and exams, 10% Arts & Sports and other extracurricular activities, 10% getting into trouble, eating lots of candies and snacks from the nearby store, getting scolded and punished by the teachers, 5% about gushing about your crush with your besties and embarrassing the said besties in front of their crush. Let's not forget about the parent-teacher meeting that occurs almost every month. In between if we get enough time to flirt, fall in love and kiss someone, consider it as blessing. I thought it was only me. TBOY gave me high hopes and expectations for this one but, it didn't live up to that. It felt too artificial, you could tell they were 'acting'. I came here for Xia Zhi Guang and the backstory of Wuxin and Xiao Se. I stayed for Chang Feng, or rather I tried. But he got so little screen time for a supporting character. I am not saying that it is bad, it just did not give what I expected. I could not bring myself to finish the drama. Li Hong Yi was a pleasant surprise for me to be honest.
Even though I was a bit disappointed about the little to no bromance, the interactions of the detective trio are good. I enjoyed it. All the twists and turns in the drama were good and the cliffhangers, damn, I kept telling myself that I should watch the drama only after it was aired completely. But, did I listen? No. I was impatient. Now, two more episodes to go. My poor lil Ruan Ge... I mean Huole. Keeping my fingers crossed for a season 2
