I really wanted to stay interested in this drama but I think I had enough. Where is a romance? The leads have little to no interactions without prying eyes and there is no progress in their relationship. It's a school-related revenge drama with ML having crush on his teacher. That's it.
I guess he's too good of an actor to waste his talent on kdrama :D:D:D
I agree with your statement that people from non-English speaking countries are more likely to be interested in korean/asian cinematography and tv series. I'm also from a non-English speaking country and even if Korean culture is different from my own, I can find some similarities. In general, I think k-dramas are getting popular among youth because of k-entertainment (like k-pop; cosmetics etc.) when k-movies are more acceptable by a variety of different age groups.

I don't know. I've started watching k-movies before k-drama...so.... I guess not for everyone was the same order. Movies and tv drama are two different things and have different fan base.
In general, I love noona-romances but I'm not sure about this one. I knew from the start that it's going to be difficult for me to enjoy this drama because of both leads (they're not the best actors out there to put it simply) but I'm disappointed because of the plot. I'm not even talking about constant coincidences or cringy french. The biggest problem for me is that this drama doesn't know what it wants to be. At first, I was glad to see k-drama where one night stand is treated normally and not something taboo. But then the director and screenwriter want the audience to believe that they're in fact in love? When and where does it happen? Lust - sure, I can understand that but love? No way. Also, I laughed out loud when she said that she was with his brother for two months (I repeat - TWO MONTHS). Anyway, I will probably continue to watch but for now, I'm not impressed.
From this list I've only seen "Breath" and it was really slow. I like Kim Ki Duk's movies but this one was really hard to finish. The first title that comes to my mind (that would fit this list) is the Taiwanese movie "Prince of Tears" from 2009. On MDL it has only 61 watchers which IMO is a crime. If you have time please watch it!
I think that was the craziest drama that I've seen so far. This season was even more ridiculous than previous ones but I must say that I enjoyed it a lot. I was cheering for Soo Ryun and Logan. I laughed a lot over nonsensical plotlines and twists. For me, it was a really good black comedy :)
I think that was the most over-the-top drama that I've seen. So much screaming, overreacting, unbelievable plot twists, and coincidences....I don't think that was the screenwriter's intention but I laughed in many unappropriated moments. Overall, I enjoyed it a lot more than I think I would. It was addicting and now I can watch seasons 2 and 3 :) From me, it's 8/10.
I liked the ending. I think it suited the overall flow and peace of this drama. For me, it's one of the best dramas I've watched. It's beautifully shot and acted. 9/10
I'm so glad I started this series! I've just finished episode 2 (#42) and all I can say is "wow". It was awesome - much better than the first one (#23). I loved how realistic it was. I got really invested emotionally in Chung Kyung and Woon Bum story. Just beautiful and I loved the ending :)
