What a wonderful series! This is how a strong female character should be written in a historical setting. Qiao Man is intelligent, resourceful, and cares about her family and people. Depending on the situation, she can be charming or manipulative. I didn’t think I would love this series as much as I do now when I first started it. The political intrigues are engaging and not too complicated. The sets, costumes, and music beautifully complement the story. For me, it’s a 9/10. I’ll certainly watch other c-dramas in a historical setting thanks to this masterpiece.

You said there is no plot so I just pointed out that there are things beyond food in the drama. You didn't even address that. Have a nice day and don't torture yourself with a show that doesn't bring you joy😊

The acting in Bon Appétit, Your Majesty is mediocre at best. What’s keeping this show afloat isn’t the story…
I don't think that anyone is claiming that this drama is some acting or storytelling excellence. Personally, I'm not even a fan of rom comes with fantasy elements but it's one of the few k-drama this year that is doing cliche story elements well. It's entertaining with eye candy actors and delicious food on screen. I also think that there is enough plot to have a theories about what is going to happen. We have the issue of FL coming back to her timeline, hints of dragging the king by his concubine, assassin's plotline, story behind disposal of ML's mother, consequences of romance between ML and FL, some court ministers trying to install FL as a new concubine and favourite of the King, changing history etc. There is enough plot bunnies if you watch the drama with open mind and eyes 😊

I would love to watch it but I can't find it anywhere. Can you share where you watched it?
Thank you for replying 😉I'll try to find it.

It's been a while since I've enjoyed a drama this much. I regret watching it as it while it's still being released :( The acting is great, sets and costumes look wonderful, and of course the food looks delicious!

Not at all what I was expecting. I'm not a fan of the comedies (especially Korean ones), but I'm glad I gave it a try because it's not a comedy but a drama. It's a really touching story with a good message and great acting. 8/10

I like it except for the last 2 minutes. The cinematography was excellent, and in general, it's a well-made movie. 7/10

What a unique concept! I'm not a fan of comedy, especially Korean humor, but I enjoyed this weird mix of comedy and disaster movie. 8/10

It’s a very dark and heartbreaking story, but presented with a rather melancholic style. It’s well-made and the acting is excellent. Some things were left unsaid, but that’s a good thing. Overall, it's an interesting film. 8/10

I really tried to like this one... On paper, it has everything that I love in a TV series (dark concept, mystery, immoral characters, no romance). Unfortunately, I can't take scenes seriously when an average-built young woman beats up highly trained thugs twice her size. The moment with the fake girl in the second episode was so ridiculous that I had to stop watching because I was laughing so hard. I'll probably finish this series because it's only eight episodes, and I hate not finishing dramas that I've started. Maybe it'll get better...

Ah I didn't know it's based on a novel. I love dark themes in media so too bad they didn't have more episodes to explore them better.

I'm not sure if 11 episodes weren't enough. They introduced way too many plotlines and I can only judge a drama by the final product, so for me it doesn't matter that there are supposed to be more episodes....I liked it, but I feel like it could be much better if the focus were on the main plotline.

The OST and cinematography were beautiful! I loved all shots of landscapes and in nature. The acting and costumes were also excellent. The only problem I have is with a storyline that feels too rushed and romance that appears out of nowhere. Otherwise, it's worth watching.

I've just watched "The Goddess" - she's such a great actress! I wanted to look for her other movies, and I'm saddened to hear she died so young.

Such a promising actress....Her performance in The Man from Nowhere moved me deeply and I fell in love with Korean cinema thanks to that movie. I hope she's in a better place now.

I don't understand the point of ending the drama like that... I hate it when they make you feel like what you watched was pointless.
