This is definitely a drama for which I thought that I'll not be watching when I read the description. Nevertheless, after 5th episode aired, I gave it a try and here I am - WAITING EAGERLY FOR THE LAST TWO EPISODES. So far, despite the cliche touches in the story, I think that the characters, esp. main characters are wholesome and nothing like anyone had expected them to be at first.
this isn't bad at all. it is true that the things were repeating during the first 10 episodes and revealing stories on why and how certain things happened is way too slow (maybe because of the fact that it is 30-min long episodes drama, which leaves insufficient space for fast development of the story). Still, I am looking forward to the next 5 episodes. To those who want to finish the drama - we should leave until the last episode airs and then binge-watch it. It will save some nerves.
Also, it is the first time in a while that I like all the actors in the drama. I think that these actors can portray their roles well compared to most popular drama actors so far and it is the first time since Healer, that I take Ji Chang Wook's character portrayal seriously.
Was this supposed to be this funny? Because it was XD plus, I agree with everything
I kinda figured that there are people who would watch this so I wanted to sound less desperate. xD Worst several hours of my daily drama time (I watched all episodes in one day cause it's short).
She spent 5 years in medical school, at least 3 in residency (don't know how many exactly are there in Korea,…
How does spending 5-6 years in medschool where you focus on grades, 3 years of experience where supervisor is not giving you proper on place experience make her resilient of having nausea or anything? lol That much experience might be enough e.g for an engineer to work without flaws in a field but not for a doctor. There are perfectly well fit surgeons in rl who suffer from nausea in OR which prevents them from wroking in the OR. I cannot get why do you people think that people are some sort of products that when you put them through schooling they end up perfectly well shaped in the exit lane of the production cycle just because of perfect grades. There is always something that they have issue with, be it small or big.
Also, her problems are not an excuse and I am not saying anywhere that she is excused but I'm saying that she is not perfect. Also you could have noticed that her character operates perfectly well in the ER unlike the OR which is again saying, very possible knowing that the pace in the ER is much faster and requires immediate reaction. Why do you think that anybody would have kept her if she was like that? She is not incompetent, she is realistic and yes she has flaws. Also, there are 10 episodes left. Anybody watching kdrama or anybody who had watched first season of Romantic dr. Kim carefully knows that situations and characters are developing through all 16 episodes where you get the whole picture of why certain things happened. You don't get the whole picture about a character, at least until 10th episode. I do not simply get how come that you had already managed to label her.
I would strongly disagree about Cha Eun Jae and I think that it is too early to judge her character. She is not perfect, she is childish and acts like that but she is still fresh and lacks experience or guidance that would help her overcome her issue. Everybody makes constant mistakes but it is practice that makes a master and I believe that realistically - it is impossible to do perfectly everything. Her nauesea issue proved to be solvable and she would overcome that if she found herself under right guidance. She did not have proper attention by her former senior and then she got scouted by Master Kim. I think that Master Kim's role as a central figure is to lead and coach younger doctors which is why these two found themselves in the perfect place to be trained and Master Kim recognized their talent and chose to help them overcome their problems. As a result he will have talented AND developed doctors that will match his capabilities - and be able to leave them to lead the hospital once he is gone. As you could see, it is hinted that he is suffering from some kind of condition at the very beginning which is normal. Master Kim is human and so is everyone else.
I'm starting to feel the same as you. Like I know Tami is flawed but she is a hypocrite? She accuses Song Gakyung…
nah she is getting into nerves since she is also insecure when it comes to stuff like real life bonding and maintaining a long term relationship. she seems to be someone who did not get what she really needs until now probably. cha hyeon has her insecurities too and unlike tami, her insecurities give her self esteem thanks to all those stress release activities she pursues. honestly i like the teaming up of all these characters since i think that they fit each other well no matter how different they seem to be. what marks both hyeon and tami is that blunt approach: i would never do this and that like this and that person, and than goes and does similar or same thing. it is not hypocricy it is just that people learn with age and you never know what will you do until you are faced with the situation. the only person who really knows what he is doing and is mature enough to take any serious decision in my opinion would be brian. at least up until now, he was having that parent approach by pushing the company and people in it into challenges they have to overcome in order to succeed and his approach helped cha hyeon develop and offered tami a new idea of leadership and tutoring. damn, once again God bless whomever came up with this show (at least for now).
so, first of all whomever came up with this show, God bless her/him.
I like the ga gyeong and jin woo pairing up. Honestly I am sick of whining ass characters being stuck in an arranged marriage and end up being killed, killing someone or simply writers doing some weird shit just to close their story. I do not see romantic vibes between cha hyeon and ga gyeong either hence I am not against womance but I dislike pushing any relationship for the sake of satisfying viewers´ uncontrolled ovary urges . So, let the story be and enjoy as it is.
Anyhow, I finally see characters that are really strong and capable to do and create their success but are also vulnerable to everything that comes with it. bae ta mi kind of goes on our nerves with her insecurities, but ladies she is ca.38, successful and capable woman who did not feel an urge to bond with anyone and bonding feels alien to her at first. also, she almost hit rock bottom at the work since that is in particular what she spent a life into so it is pretty much unrealistic that she would be like: hell yea, i am getting into it and let this love life parkour start. cha hyeon is on the other hand a 12 year old inside a body of successful and strong woman in her 30s (i guess that is the age in the drama she is in). she is sincere and very heartwarming towards people whom she feels to care about. i still don´t get much of ga gyeong , i mean there are still some episodes left to find out. speaking of other characters, brian seems to be a parent in baro and i like the fact that he is someone who is responsible towards the company and his employees unlike unicon who sacrificed tami while no second thought was given in a process by either ga gyeong or that long haired woman in a suit (btw. i call her like that because this entire show gives me an impression of anime styled mimics, clothing and sometimes even reactions). I mean Brian did sacrifice her in a way, but he did it in order to protect the company and other people who work in it. Hence he did give her chance to find her own way to figure out what was going on and what he did helped tami and cha hyeon bond (my fav bromance definitely since long time). Unlike Brian, Ga Gyeong and that lady sacrificed tami to save their own ass. I really hope that they don´t spoil the story until the end tho.
