I'd really like to know how he should've handled it. I've explained the catch as to why he couldn't pursue the brother after Do-ha let him go. I think he did everything right under the situation.

He will be let go of if there's nothing against to hold him, and it's the job of the prosecutor if the police don't have the information, Kang-min will need to lie saying he doesn't know who he was attacking. In the meantime to catch him he will need police resources to track him down, he will need a warrant to arrest him, these are not provided without enough evidence. He could've done his duty by revealing who the victim was, that'd be the probable cause in the warrant affidavit that judges sign. I mean seriously this is the one thing you found against the guy? It was totally Do-ha's fault, he physically restrained Kang-min from arresting the dude, his identity was revealed anyway, literally nothing was saved, exactly the reason why he was mad at Do-ha.

I've been thinking about it, I mean Seo Ji-hun is rocking as Kang-min, the police look suits him, it's a combination of soft, serious and straight forward. But could he pull off Do-ha? I mean Min-hyun is actually a musician so that's a point for him but when it comes to dramatic moments and complex emotions, he falters. I liked him in the reels I watched of AOS but that wasn't my kind of drama so I got into this, but I think I am more disappointed in him every episode. He doesn't have the intensity required. His character has more emotional depth than Kang-min's yet I care more about the ex destined to lose. Idk, I think Ji-hun could do it, but it would be less marshmellowy compared to Min-hyun, which btw I'd take any day of the week.

You have a problem that he's looking into the case? A murder suspect is dating his love, I'd think that's the most natural response to the situation. He doesn't need to believe Do-ha like Sol-hi does, he's not friends with him, what matters is if he treats him okay. He suspects him, he didn't conclude that Do-ha is the killer. He's not the psycho bro to reach conclusions without evidence. But as he said, suspicion remains as long as concrete evidence does not nullify that.

You keep saying the same thing over and over. If Kang-min said this guy had a knife and tried to stab someone, naturally the next questions will be who he tried to stab and why. Police can't do just whatever without any check and balance.

Like the bloodied shirt he took back, and he did lie to the police, he knew his mother was pulling the strings and faked a video to get him an alibi. It took him 6 years to get over his own feelings to contemplate on others. And does Kang-min feel jealous? Sure he does but that has nothing to do with his suspicion that Do-ha is responsible. Do-ha tells the truth only to Sol-hi, not to anybody else. He doesn't explain the situation to anybody else. If he wanted result, he would've gone somewhere else, but he acts unaware that the police is actively covering for him.

Yeah, like what? He was in jail in Hakcheon, then he came to Seoul and his first crime was abducting Sayon and trying to stab Do-ha. And Kang-min tried to catch him but Do-ha got in the way. That he did all these and had a knife in his possession would require testimonies from both Do-ha and Sayon but they were too busy hiding that Do-ha is actually Kim Seong-ju. The exact reason why Kang -min listened to him.

Of course he didn't have any obligation. But I'm not sure how much you'd like him if he was the one who publicized Do-ha's actual identity. Bcz I know he cared that Sol-hi doesn't get branded a suspect's gf bcz of him.

She is a very bad mother, she was even before she started thinking her son killed somebody. She made the case more complex than it should have been. But Do-ha didn't have to listen to her. He didn't and I understand why he might've but someone else might've done the right thing. He's sensitive, feels guilty easily - I get all that but there's no reason he should tell the police 'he killed her', it was stupid af. He feels soft at the wrong times.

He's just gonna look him up out of nowhere for no reason? WE need descriptions of entire incident to file a police case and Do-ha wanted his anonymity. Not to mention Kang-min is always thinking about Sol-hi too. And he's not the person assigned to the case, Do-ha finally looking into the incident after 6 years doesn't even compare. And the ex's psycho bro trusted him enough to leave the notebook and now we'll find an actual witness.

Idk what to say, I think I already said I understand Do-ha's side of actions. And of course Kang-min is showing interest bcz of Sol-hi, he can't solve every cold case of the entire country. He is interested bcz he wants her to be safe and happy and when looking into the case who is the most suspicious actor? Nothing leads back to the other people we are suspecting as viewers. But he will know once he starts looking into it.

I kinda like all the muted and silly romances better than the 'Do-ha, Sol-hi' thing. Sol-hi's mum and dad being together was fun to watch (btw her dad really vibes the long hair), Sayon being interested in Chi-hun was cute too. I think they spoiled the central romance at the barbecue and then at the festival...I'm over them, they are better when they talk and the story is so much about Do-ha and her supporting him, Sol-hi's part of the story becomes too limited.
And the dad probably didn't kill Eom-ji, since they moved on to Jo. I really want him not to be the killer, I think he isn't which would be fun bcz I can't figure out how he knows it's not Do-ha who killed her. But it could be generic like he did kill her or his brother did, or he doesn't know who killed her just believes Do-ha out of friendship - all of which will be just boring.
Btw, I know a lot happened but I just can't get over how fast Kang-min was at the apartment. It was almost funny. I liked the fight scene, Do-ha tried a lot. We needed a little action tbh.
I enjoy Ji-on's acting, he has such limited time but I get that he's worried, under a lot of pressure, being dumped by friends and hiding smth big, all of these in so little time, and he seems less dangerous than he should with his capacity to manipulate and lie. I like him. After Kang-min he's another good character and actor. He's more fun now than when he was all sweet.

Exactly. Those words were so right in the station. I didn't think they'd write those harsh words for Kang-min but it was so perfect, his police instinct and worries for Sol-hi - all came across.

I'd say he's the prime suspect based on evidence and his mother's numerous attempts to bury the case, not to mention he hid the truth for 6 years himself. I mean the ring wasn't even presented. Why should anyone assume he's actually a good guy despite all these? We see Do-ha being cute all day, no one in the police does.

You are just willfully ignoring the part where I said 'partly'. But let me explain, he had 6 years to go to the police and tell everyone what happened. Can you imagine, he left a bleeding psychotic woman at the beach and she didn't come back home, her brother came chasing him to the bus station and he wasn't worried at all. That brother had problem of course but him carrying around a knife and obsessively tracking Do-ha - all stems from his compliance with his mother's plan. He is his own person and could tell the truth anytime, if not right away then maybe a year or 2 later, but he didn't. He just assumed her body washed away and kept feeling guilty for 6 long years. That psycho brother was already on the brink of a break down, this conspiracy to shove the case under a blanket only implicates Do-ha. If the police didn't properly investigate it was bcz of him. And I understand that Do-ha is human too, a sensitive one on top of that and I have no qualm about him making a mistake but this was a side by side analysis of his character with Kang-min's. I was just trying to show why Do-ha comes of as suspicious and why Kang-min is seeing him as a possible suspect. This is an impressive list of mistakes and bad choices that Do-ha made and Sol-hi sees them as signs of a person struggling bcz she's in love and knows him better. Not everyone owes him that.

I watched Seasons of Blossoms, I consider that an angsty role too tbh, Ha-min was serious, sort of introverted in a way that illudes you. But I get you, there's a nice energy when he's being just vulnerable and true or messing with So-mang.

Ji-hun does angsty roles well, his previous projects are evidence enough, I'd really like smth different now. I wonder if he can do cutesy roles, I can't even imagine but makes me excited all the same.

But I don't think anybody's amnesiac in this drama. Kang-min did point out a possibility but Do-ha seems okay to me. And the crazy bro is too crazy to be amnesiac. But I get you:)

I am a fan of the actor specifically bcz of this role. Kang-min is nicer as a character than even the leads sometimes, and that takes some formidable acting. Of course you are free to not like him, I was expecting some logical reason but as I understand you can't stand him bcz he is a potential rival for Sol-hi's love (and he plays that part so well even though he doesn't have a chance!). Kang-min is real in a drama so decidedly not real, so I don't understand you. But to each their own, I guess.
