But, surprising fans, during the iQIYI conference, the release of 百妖谱 (Record of a Hundred Demons) was officially announced, scheduled for 2026. Thus, what was supposed to be a trilogy now becomes a tetralogy, once again exploring the dualities of human nature—between good and evil, between the human and the demonic.
In other words, since this project has already been officially confirmed and will be the focus of the 2026 release, it's highly unlikely that other dramas speculated here will actually be his next.
That's great. I hope it's true. It's Guo Jigmin's project, so I don't know if it'll come out anytime soon. Especially since that poster was released at the IQIYI conference, claiming it was his next project.
