The starting was good and it had lots of potential and i appreciate the makers for trying something new by switching the actors but the execution is what's wrong. It wasn't that hard for them to come up with a story were naksu's body was saved in S1 and souls of naksu and buyeon being transferred to naksu's body. They literally did a plastic surgery kind of thing in S2 in the most unconvincing way possible. This literally reminds me of how indian serial producer Ekta kapoor comes up with plastic surgery as a solution for replacement of actors. With plastic surgery they change the height weight and the entire face structure of that person with a convincing memory loss track. Seen this 10-15yrs ago on indian serials.

I don't have much problem with damsel in distress as long as it's written well. Here the writing is the main problem. Even though this is S2 it's just a direct continuation of S1 which means it's ep 21-22 and instead of going uphill the FL is doing down hill. We have been hearing about the divine power and unmatchable skills of buyeon and naksu for 20+ episodes just to see the FL(who is a combination of both) being more powerless by each passing episodes. She is literally a prop for the entire story to move forward. Her entire purpose in S1 was to train the ML and i don't even know why she is in S2? Just as a love interest? Uk is perfectly capable of defeating anyone and his powers are unmatchable.
The FL and her powers has been limited for 20+ episodes now. Thats exactly my problem with the show.

I think since Korea is a small country it didn't had multiple kingdoms. I am not sure but i think it used to be 3 kingdoms but the king of sila joined all 3 and made it a single kingdom. I think it's the king park hyungsik played in hwarang.
Also i have read that ministers held a lot of power back then and they make or break a king. The ML in mr.queen is a fictional version of a real king and the real king was known to be a puppet king. The real power was with the ministers and they were the ones ruling. Thats why we see a lot of politics in kdramas. They had more inner conflict than outer ones.
The only outer conflict i guess was with China at that time and anything Chinese in a korean sageuk can lead to a ban 😂. So the makers are playing it as safe as possible.

I watched the first 2 episodes of aos and it was just okay. I binge watched S1 and even though i liked it i wasn't much invested in it. I am watching S2 just as a formality. Might finish it by fast forwarding it just to have a closure.
I would have watched reborn rich if it was available on Netflix or prime or Disney but it's only available on Viki in my region and i don't have subscribtion for it. Nowadays i don't like watching dramas on unofficial sites. It's hard to fast forward and there is quality issue. The main reason i started watching forbidden marriage is because it's available on prime.

I haven't seen the first season of that and not even very familiar with that drama.

I watched the first two episodes and am not enjoying it much. I esp didn't like their explanation of how the face changed. They could have simply buried naksu's body or dumped it in the water or kept somewhere frozen in S1 instead of burning it and then coming up with such a lame excuse for the face change. Didn't they make it pretty clear in S1 that body has nothing to do with soul? How did buyeon who is one of the most powerful being left her own body but naksu managed to stay in that body? I don't really mind the change in actors but they should have come up with a better explanation than this lame one for the change in face. Also how come seo Yul don't recognise her face? The dude found resemblence of his childhood crush in the dead body of naksu but cannot recognise a walking talking naksu 🙄.
I guess like mr.queen here also the FL is a combination of 2 souls. It's buyeon's powers along with naksu's energy that works. Even now she has buyeon's powers. In S1 naksu was dominating but in S2 buyeon is dominating.
I also don't like how the writers come up with something or the other to always keep the FL completely dependent on the ML. Both naksu and buyeon are just powerful and badass on paper. We never get to see that. Atleast in S1 she used her cleverness and manipulation skills to get what she wants and was enjoyable to watch. In S2 she comes off as the typical damsel in distress kdrama FL.
Their powers are like guest appearances of the show. They need to give special mentions to buyeon's divine powers and naksu's unmatchable martial arts skills at the end of every episode 😂.

I once decided to watch it but ended up watching something else. Don't feel like watching anything intense nowadays. Trying to watch S2 of alchemy of the soul but not enjoying it much. Want to watch reborn rich but am confused whether to watch it now or wait till it gets over. I guess by the time i make up my mind the show will end 😂

It's more ignorant than racist and Koreans live in their own bubble with little to no interaction with other races. For them all white people are from USA and all black people are from Africa and brown people from India. They are not used to diversity.

She said she will make him a star and not an actor and that says it all. For Korean dramas they mostly only need stars with charm and charisma than acting skills but it's different for Korean movies. Most of the top Korean drama actors don't have a big movie career and the top movie actors only does a drama in 2 or 3 yrs and it will be big budget kdramas with huge cast and famous writers and directors. The young actors that get movie offers or are praised for their acting skills will mostly have film school background rather than scouted on the streets.

There is a highschool kid who cyber bullies the ML and his ex driver. The irritating boss of the SFL if he can be considered to be a villain and the bar owner who used to be the manager of the dead friend. I guess that's it. It don't really have a big baddy. Only antifans and sasaengs.

Yes. Kdrama sagueks are playing it safe nowadays due to all the boycott. It's good to do so. Mr.queen was lucky enough to finish airing before all that controversy happened. Red sleeve stayed true to the actual story as much as they can. Joseon exorcist could have been saved if they just set it in a fictional world like alchemy of the soul. It looked like a big budget drama and gave me kingdom vibe from its trailers.

The king is a cutie so i don't care for the SML. I feel bad for the SML only when the ML is a jerk to the FL and still gets her.

I think i only saw the first season of love playlist. I only remember it being a story of a group of friends.
As a SML he gets enough romantic scenes with the FL. Some scenes look like its for the ML 😂. He is one SML who is truly looted considering the FL was fine with getting married to him 7yrs ago and their marriage almost happened. Poor guy.

I watched all the 4 episodes yesterday and i regret it. Should have waited to binge watch it. 😂
The king and the SML reading those books were hilarious. The king starts getting dirty minded even while seeing red flowers 🤣.
Overall it don't feel like watching a sageuk. The king don't act like a king and is playing around. The FL acts like the king and the SML are her childhood friends and always speaks informally with them. The SML even though is a royal guard don't feel like a royal guard. The head maid and eunuch does whatever they want and gets away with it. They both come off more as a babysitter for the king than his servants 🤣. Except here instead of making sure if the baby gets enough food they have to make sure if the baby gets enough sex 🤣. Even though 100days my prince and mr.queen were also comedy sageuk's with not so serious storyline it still felt like a sageuk where the MLs had king like aura. In this drama except for the setting and costume i don't feel it to be a sageuk but i don't mind that. I am having fun watching this and that's all I care.

I haven't watched prosecutor doberman. Is it good? He was the villain in it?

By ep 4 i got used to his face and now can differentiate. In ep 1 there is a scene of his talking to another guard while the FL listens to them and i didn't get it was the SML till the other guy talked about his lost bride. I think i have seen love playlist. Does it have multiple seasons? I watched it long time ago and cannot remember any actors from it.
The only Kim minseok i know is xiumin from exo 😬.

I watched the first 2 episodes and is on ep 3. It's a good watch and i am liking the female lead the most so far. I liked the actress even in zombie detective. I also like her wardrobe and hair when she is outside the palace. It looks different from usual sageuk attires.
This is my 4th drama of Kim young dae and i always feels he looks uncomfortable in the first few episodes and then it gets fine. I don't know if i get used to him or he takes time to get into character 😂
Don't remember seeing the SML anywhere. He kind of has a very common face and i find it hard to distinguish him from the supporting actors.
Some of th comedy scenes are funny and till now its not that serious. I hope it goes like that till the end. I don't feel like watching too serious dramas.

It's gonna be on prime? I am from India and prime is way cheaper than Viki here and i have a prime membership.
