Better than before because Go Yoon Jung. She was robbed of the lead in this show in part 1.
I am not talking about the currents actresses. Jung so min replaced a newbie. Don't know her name. If you google you will know they had a seperate actress for mudeok. I don't know which teaser you are talking about but in every single teaser of S1 i have seen mu deok and jung so min had the most screentime than naksu. She was only in the first few seconds of those teasers. I started watching the drama after it finished but have seen all the teasers when it released and all had jung so min.

All the promotional posters and photoshoot had jung so min. So they made it clear who is gonna be the FL for S1 and nobody was robbed of anything. It's pretty obvious that the makers already decided to change the FL and try something new. If i am not wrong they replaced a newbie with jung so min. So they wanted an experienced actor to play mudeok in S1.
As a viewer who has no attachments to the actors and advidly watching for the exciting storyline, I'm getting…
It might be hard for some people to imagine a new face on a character they liked. So i guess some of them being uncomfortable seeing uk romance naksu with her old face is understandable but i totally agree on being frustrated because they don't get the answer they want in the first episode itself. It's a drama and not a movie to get all of their answers within 2 hours🙄. I have seen people being impatient and then vending out their frustration in MDL very often esp when it comes to thrillers. It's common sense that they won't get answers to all their questions right away in a drama. It will atleast take more than half of the drama for the makers to start showing what's actually happening. If they give out everything within the first 3-4 episodes what will they show for the next 10+ episodes
I wonder if she's of mixed heritage? She has very white-ish facial features. Or maybe it's plastic surgery.
She kind of has the classic Korean face. The only feature i find different is her nose. She has high bridge pointed nose naturally which is rare for Koreans. Also she used to be a child artist and there is literally no change in her features.
Sadly it's part of the korean culture to drink alcohol all the time :c
83-84 is a big number and US has an expandency average of 77. The difference of 6 yrs is a lot considering its the average of the entire population. South korea isn't even in the top list of countries with the highest alcohol use. Even in the list of alcohol use disorder it's in tie with the US. The only difference is US series or movies don't show as much alcohol use as Kdramas.
Sadly it's part of the korean culture to drink alcohol all the time :c
It's similar to gun problem in the US. Govt can't do anything if it's deep enrooted in the culture. 1.9% of death due to alcoholism isn't that big of a percentage for a country that has a drinking culture for centuries and a life expandancy of 83 yrs. Also consuming alcohol on a regular basis and being an alcoholic are different things. Not everyone who drinks is an addict or has problem with controlling it.
Sadly it's part of the korean culture to drink alcohol all the time :c
It's a cultural thing and most of them have it under control. Drinking a limited amount daily isn't alcoholism as long as one is under control. Koreans get drunk occasionally and their average life expenditure is 83yrs. So a vast majority don't face much problem with their drinking habit.
Sitcoms does need a niche audience and critical acclaim to run for several seasons. If it don't manage to get any it will get cancelled within the first season. There are numerous sitcoms that got cancelled because it didn't manage to get the audience or critics attention. Any series that run on tv needs a large audience regardless of the genre. Tv series run on rating and rating is brought by mass audience. No series that airs on tv runs for several seasons if it's only critically acclaimed and nobody is watching it on tv and is not making any buzz. Every series will have a targetted audience and if they fail to attain the attention of that audience then the series is a failure no matter how much critically acclaimed it is.
You do know that sitcoms get nominated for emmy awards and a lot of sitcom actors are among the highest paid actors in the world, right? Sitcoms can be critically acclaimed. You seems to look down on sitcoms for unknown reasons. Comedy is a genre just like romance or tragedy or thriller. It don't fall below anything. Also being critically acclaimed is not something that's reserved for movies. Dramas, plays, music, books etc can also be critically acclaimed.
All these shows are critically acclaimed from the first episode itself and are among the top most popular sitcoms ever. So i guess your sense of comedy is different than most of the people.
In Kyung wanted to study journalism abroad and not economics and that's why the grand aunt didn't support her. She wanted in Kyung to do business studies as she wanted in Kyung to look after her business. Even at the end in Kyung wanted to study abroad more about journalism itself.
I have to catch up on the last 4 episodes. Didn't had time to watch it. Since this one and gaus electronics ended i don't have any kdramas to watch every week.
I started watching this without any expectations and it ended up being a decent watch. I liked how they gave importance to people working behind a star. The drama had 5 couples and i don't remember watching any other drama with so many people ending up together.
