The drama never advertised itself as a story of 3 strong badass sisters taking down the rich and powerful and fighting for justice. Maybe you can take time and read the synopsis before making your own version of a drama and then feeling disappointed that it didn't deliver what you wanted it to deliver.
I am someone that has been following everything related to this drama since its announcement and it's synopsis from the start was 3 sisters who gets entangled with the rich and powerful. Then even the first teaser showed 3 sisters getting involved with the rich and powerful with 70B won involved in all of these. They never revealed what kind of bond the 3 sisters will share or the entire character sketch of the 3 sisters. They only gave the profession of the sisters.
The makers never tried to misguide the audience. So i don't get from where you got the idea that the sisters will be badass or perfect. Its also not the makers fault if you watch a story of 3 poor sisters and compare it to a movie with 3 powerful women taking down men.

I wish their parents were collecting coconuts in Kerala instead of mangoes in Philippines. A coconut falling on the head is a more guarenteed death than mango falling😂

Right now he sees in Kyung as a barking chihuahua that wont bite and is tied up. So he finds her desperate attempts to reach him cute. His smile will vanish once he realises she isn't just a braking chihuahua and is out of her leash 😂.

To start with those are illegal money and in Joo cannot put it in her bank. Then if she goes to Singapore she will need Singapore currency to live there. How will she convert all these Korean currency to Singapore currency without getting noticed by the villains or by the government authorities?

Exactly. I don't get what everyone is expecting from this drama and how they want the sisters to act in such situations. They ain't Vincenzo who grew up in a mafia family to counter attack the villains and be two steps ahead of them.

so won sanga clearly tells the orchids are poisonous and the first thing in hye does is smell it? does she even have a working brain or her brain works only when she is drawing?😂 She is already the most irritating character for me but didn't expect her to be this dumb.

i watched the episode after reading the comments here and i thought it will not be good but the episode was so damn good.
what exactly are people expecting from this drama?

all the 3 sisters are extremely relatable even though some of their actions are dumb esp in Joo and in Hye.
how can anyone expect in Joo to be super smart and badass. she is someone that got conned by her ex husband and is extremely desperate for money and an outcast that don't get most of the social cues. so obviously she ain't the smartest cookie out there.she is someone that never get noticed by anyone. so she won't feel like people are now keeping an eye on her. she don't even realise that she is up against extremely powerful people or the deep danger she is in.
i am pretty sure more than half way through the drama the villains will have the upper hand. pjs and his wife have been living their entire life manipulating people and are extremely cunning people. psj is a businessman as well as a politician. one has to have the highest level of shrewdness, cunningness and cleverness to succeed in both these fields. these are people that can kill off people below them without thinking twice.
on the other hand the sisters are just ordinary everyday women that has to sacrifice a lot for their basic needs. they are not used to planning or plotting. except for their aunt they might not even have had a proper conversation with extremely rich and powerful people, execpt inkyung due to her profession and her childhood and she is the only one that is seeing right through pjs and isn't ready to bent down even a little.
it will be extremely unrealistic if the three sisters are shown to be badass and clever and smart from the start.

i like that the sisters are not badass or super clever. its realistic. one cannot expect 3 women that lived everyday struggling to survive to be clever and badass all of a sudden. if they were they wouldn't have been struggling so much. the only one that might have some sort of backborn will be in Kyung since she is in a profession that requires her to be smart and daring. she is not that intimidated by the power and money of PJS as the other two. it might also be because she grew up with the aunt who is quite intimidating herself.

oh in Hye irritates me. i get where she is coming from and i understand she feels burdened when her sisters go out of their way to fullfill her dreams but i find her similar to her mother. selfish.
she don't mind making a fool out of her sisters to get what she wants. she could have went out with in Kyung and talked it out but that party was more important to her? its pretty clear that both the sisters are very soft towards her so she could have told them what she wants in life and told them to let her make her own choices. she is a teenager i agree but not a child. she is young and lacks life experience but she isn't immature.

i also feel even though the sisters love each other a lot they lack communication. they seem a bit distant to me. its like they all live together but don't notice what the other one is upto. they don't even doubt it when one of them behaves out of character.
it took PJS only one meeting to get that in Kyung is drunk but in Kyung has to tell in Joo she has a drinking problem. in Kyung said to her friend that by the end of the day she finishes an entire bottle but none of her sisters found out about it. same way in Joo has been acting weird since she got that money but nobody noticed. in Hye roams around like a zombie but none of the older sisters thought they need to have a talk with her. in hye seems to be someone that don't open up much. seeing how much both the sisters love her, they might put effort to know what their teenage sister is going through. i feel they love each other but aren't that close. i don't know if it's intentionally written this way.

i am in the middle of ep 5 and i am still confused with this drama.
can just anyone be a mage or just a particular set of families can be a mage? is the ruling family also mage? if jang uk is the king's son how did he get the energy as from my understanding the king was a human being and if he is jang kang's son why jang Kang took away his powers? technically biologically jang uk is jang kang's son since the body was his when the king did the deed with his wife. so dna will be of jang kang's only.
also why did the king even slept with jang kang's wife if he can never openly acknowledge the fact that he has a son? i thought he needed a son to be his successor.

Korea has a drinking culture and most characters get dead drunk once in a while. so them blacking out isn't a big deal. here in Kyung is a proper alcoholic and not someone that gets drunk and pass out occasionally.

i know that it happens in real life and i have seen that in western and indian/pakistani dramas/movies as well but not as commonly as Korean dramas. it kind of makes me think it's very common in Korean society for mothers to abandon their kids just like that.

there is a 5min long trailer on the swoon for nerflix and in Hye has a huge role to play. she somehow ends up in the villain's house.

nobody says there is too many male centric dramas or movies. so what's the problem with female centric shows?

i asked that question before watching the flashback of the king asking his assistant for soul injection or something like that.

that plastic surgery thing makes me doubt if she is really dead. she seems to be very smart from whatever they showed of her till now.
