I never heard anyone hating on black widow... I agree that she don't come off as important as the male characters in Avengers but I never heard anyone hating on the character... I only remember people having a problem with the makers for making the character say she is a monster only because she cannot conceive which is a valid point... That dialogue was inappropriate and problematic and the blame goes to the makers... I watched 1985 before the first move and it wasn't that bad... It's not just as good as the first movie...

i guess it has more to do with how she talks and how captain marvel didnt live upto the expectations... it got heavily compared to wonder woman and compared to gal gadot as wonder woman, brie larson as captain marvel falls flat... she just dont have the screen presence and charm to be a superhero like scarlet johanson or gal gadot... she dont really stand out...

Dbs's mother is a 50 something woman that don't understand homosexuality and korea is a very homophobic country as well... On the other hand minhyuk is a young guy who studied abroad... So when people assume that he is gay he don't care and he didnt take it as an insult whereas bong soon is a young girl that isn't aware about world view... Unlike her mother she don't think being gay is bad or curable but due to her being uneducated on homosexuality she gets weird out by minhyuk'a antiques... Minhyuk knows that and that's why he acts along and annoys her by flirting with her crush... The drama is simply showing all time of people and their understanding of homosexuality... Its nowhere said in the drama that homosexuality is bad...
Again korea is a patriarchal society and a society like that expects women to be in a certain way and that's what's shown in the drama... Her crush is the typical macho man who thinks it's his duty to protect women and the ML on the other hand don't feel threatened by do bong soon's super strength... There are scenes were he makes her carry things because she is physically stronger than him... He knows that she has the strength to beat the shit out of him and he still goes around annoying her... By making the FL choose the ML the makers are showing that there are men who don't feel threatened by strong woman and there are men out there that accept women the way they are without trying to change them...

Its a korean drama and korea is extremely patriarchal... So obviously everyone around the FL will say women are weak and need to be protected... The main villain kidnaps women because he things women are weak and he can dominate over them... Also the FL's physical appearance is of a small petite woman and anyone will think she is physically very weak... The drama is about showing that women are not weak and to show that they also need to show the mindset of people who thinks women are weak...
