The sfl's character is very strong and different and the makers thought of casting an actress who was trolled for her bad acting? Her character is very layered and isnt the typical villain type. They should have went for someone who is atleast decent enough

She clearly dont lack empathy. Its just the actress is bad. She is in love with the sml and was emotional when she read the letter.
She is just twisted like her father.

Watched the first episode. It has all the ingredients fora good romcom. The only thing thats irking me is that both the lead actors look very artificial. I have seen a couple of dramas of ki young and always found him very good looking esp when he smiles. But here he kind of looks different. Same for eunjin. She looked better with the chubby face. Here she looks borderline malnourished.

I also have prime and netflix. They show kdramas along with its release in South Korea. Hotstar used to air disney + originals but i guess their partnership is not the same anymore. I am too used to watch dramas on HD so now its hard to watch it on sites like kisskh

I meant biggest outside Asia. Popular kdramas enters easily on top 10 in Netflix India. Its no more niche for the urban population. Even my mother have seen multiple kdramas. Her fav are my life gives you tangerine and mr queen. Almost everyone around me have atleast seen squid game and other popular netflix kdramas.

So where exactlt is disney+ airing their kdramas? 🙄 Isnt US and India like two of the biggest markets?

Ya. Both were bad. I had expecatuons because the ml was decent in under the queen's umbrella and FL was also praised for her previous movies.

Romcom does require a decent enough acting skills and screen presence and chemistry. Both the leads were bad and they barely bad chemistry as well. The drama was also bad. She was also bad in queen woo which wasnt a romcom and she was the main character. She fails when she has to show more than 2 emotions.

I have mixed opinion on her. She is only good for resting bxtch faced roles. She was bad in both wedding impossible and queen woo.

Nam ji hyun and kim hye yoon have such similar vibes. Perfect replacement if its true.

I recently made my mom watch this and she loved it.

Watched the first 4 episodes. The first two were strong but 3 and 4 werent that engaging. I am liking yoona and chaemin separatly but dont see much chemistry as a couple. The king is supposed to be a tyrant but chaemin is too young to be taken seriously as a tyrant. His face is not matured enough.

So not like mr queen where real historic figures were used?
