If we go by that logic a lot of people mistreat their partners due to childhood trauma or growing up seeing unhealthy relationhsip of their parents... These people might genuinely love their partners but emotionally scare them as well... I know of a girl whose entire life got destroyed because the guy she was married to was too obsessive and possessive over her... she also liked him but his behaviour were way too much for her... If we see his background and the way he was brought up we will feel sympathetic towards him and get why he ended up like that.. his entire life revolved around her and their child... but he was clearly too toxic for her and she was emotionally and mentally exhausted... Then one day he committed suicide because of some work problem and that affected her metally and emotional way too deep to the level she hated her parents for getting her married to him and don't care about her own child... She had a 180 degree change in her behaviour and character...
Eunoh might have a past that scared her but that do not justify her indecisiveness and selfishness when it comes to her relationship with jaewon... Jaewon might have genuinely loved eunoh but that doesn't mean he can get obsessive over a 2 months relationship and torture himself... He clearly is blinded by his own version of their relationship that he refused to see anything else and that's extremely unhealthy... In the police station he cannot even get the hint that the girl clearly is not happy to see him and never wanted to see him... It was clearly written on her face... But he was being too clingy till he saw her ID...
These two ending up together just brush all these unhealthy behaviour under the rug and will make it look like it's okay to deceive and lie or be obsessive as long as there is love and as long as the end result is happily ever after...
