jo clan revealing the corruption of the kim clan will only make the jo clan the next kim clan... it's of no use to the king and his gang... The king is trying to increase his influence by creating his own army... that's why he don't try to be close to jo clan either... The king and his gang is not trying to take revenge... They are trying to save the country from corrupt ministers which also includes the jo clan... They are being patriotic and their aim is the betterment of the citizens... They are trying to not give power to any of the clan... The king's gang don't really trust any side... They want the king to be powerful so that he can take decisions on his own without being pressurized by any clan... The brother was send back to the palace and there were no rumours about the closeness else they would have shown it... If the brother was being suspicious of the king's intentions they would have shown atleast an argument b/w them... As of now their plan to get confidential file was clean and the brother was convinced that the king is staying there to get the book which he was... The king himself is not aware of the growing feelings...
I dropped this after watching two episodes. But yesterday, i had nothing to do so i thought of giving it another…
2 episode is not enough to get an idea about the show esp when it has a new format and unfamiliar way of story telling... Even for a kdrama with 1hr:20min duration we need to watch atleast 4-5 episodes to know where the drama is going... Glad that you decided to give it another try...

The brother needs the king for their plan to work... He cannot do anything on his own... That confidential file has all the corruption and it's the king that needs to bring it to the court... The file is basically useless if it's with hwajin or him... The king or his brother don't really trust the jo clan as well... The jo clan is also just waiting to get the power and even with them the king is only gonna be a puppet and that's not the plan of the king and his gang... They are trying to make the king the most powerful one... The king's feelings for the queen as of now is not strong enough for the brother to act on his own and that too along with hwajin... Except for not killing the queen without any reason the king haven't shown any kind of feelings for the queen in front of the brother...the brother haven't witnessed any of their bonding like the cousin or hwajin has witnessed... The brother is basically putting the king in danger by taking the book and still letting the king search for it... Hiding the king's real Identity is of uttermost importance for him and his gang...
The book that hwajin has is not the ledger,it is the book which queen used to read in childhood.
The book hwajin was holding had confidential written on it and the ledger also has confidential written on it... The book so yung used to read seems to be just a literature book or something...

i dont think there is gonna be any love triangle... in the written preview for the next episode, its written that both rinyi and eunoh were the reason for kang gun's breakup with sun young... so i guess SY simply didnt like KG having close female friends and he is even living with the 2... he dont seems to have any sort of romantic feelings for either of the girls...
grand queen dowager says queen dowanger killed the previous king and QD says GQD did it... i think GQD is not aware of how far kim jwa geun can go... if so i think GQD might help the queen towards the end...

Runon and mr.queen are amazing as of now... I think you will enjoy runon if you watch it while it's ongoing... It's quite slow and don't really have a story... it's more about the characters and their individual story and their interactions with each other...

In startup atleast i liked one of the ML but in true beauty i found both of them boring... It would have been better if they concentrated more on the FL and her insecurities than the love triangle...
