After watching Ji Chang Wook play all those cool and awesome characters it's difficult for me to watch him play…
i had the same problem and took me 5-6 episodes to get used to it.. i just couldnt imagine him as a normal simple guy and i have commented on that someone here as well.. but he is doing a fabulous job and as an actor he should do all kinds of roles instead of sticking to his comfort zone.. once you are able to overcome it and see him as DH and not JCW his character is good.. also he is not a weak guy.. he just choose to do the right thing without using violence.. if he was weak he would have given the money to the fraud guy in ep 9. it takes lot more guts and patience to accept one's fault and dont get threatened by people like that.. what he did is not something we expect from a hero in a kdrama but that is something any sensible honest person in real life will do.. just because he gave his 100% in a relationship with a girl who dont deserve him dont make him a looser either.. the guy clearly has the backbone to call her out on her double standards and tell her on her face when she crosses the limit..
Unpopular opinion, but this script is very solid. It needed some time to find its footing, but I like the way…
i think the director purposefully showed SB in a bad light in the initial episodes. to make a point that girls like her are always misunderstood by the society.. she herself knows that she and her sister will always be looked on with a suspicious eye from everyone.. even someone as nice as DH misunderstood her initially.. DH and his family might be the few people who accepted her wholeheartedly.. even DH's father was shown in a bad light at first.. i guess they are trying to say that every person has a good and bad side.. DH's father might be irresponsible at times but he truly loves his family.. DH's mother might be loud on the outside but has a heart of gold.. not everyone can love and care of a random girl like DH's mother does.. DH himself is an amazing guy and gives his 100% in everything.. its not his fault if other people dont appreciate it.. its not his fault that being good in today;s world is a bad thing.. i also think the script is good.. the only problem was teaching YJ and DH's relationship.. they could have ended it by ep 7 or 8 and started developing DH and SB by now.. but almost all kdramas kind of stretch a little bit..
the makers cheated us.. they said this is a funny drama but they made me emotional for the first 30-40 mins of today's episode.. i guess now we know why DH is such a softy and super nice.. his parents are like that.. his mother might be loud and fierce on the outside but is super nice and soft inside.. i though she might create a scene at YJ's house but she kept everything inside and walked away.. her husband at least did something.. DH's father and SB's sister were shown to be the most irresponsible and thankless people till now but today's episode showed the good side of both of them. SB's sister truly loves her.. SB and DH's mother make me cry every single time they are together.. their scenes are so emotional and heartwarming.. finally, DH called out YJ's hypocrisy on her face.. also i loved the fact that he was more sad about what his father has to go through because of his relationship than the breakup.. how shameless can YJ be.. she is the one that cheated on DH and then blamed him for having something with SB.. from the precap it seems like DH is not that affected by YJ.. i think YJ might start valuing DH after the breakup and will want to get back together but he will choose SB over her and tell her to get a life( obviously indirectly since he is too nice to look down on someone) finally, SB learned about the breakup and her reaction was the first light hearted scene in today's episode.. she is more happy that DH is single than DH being heartbroken. the only time DH is a little mean is when he is with SB and its fun to watch their bickering.. the episode ended with the revelation that SB has been in love with DH for 10 years and not 3 years( typical kdrama cliche but i dont mind).. i dont even remember how i looked when i was 12 but SB remembers the face of a guy she met for just a minute( the guy has the face of JCW but still).. i need that kind of memory.. the memory of these kdrama leads are fantastic.. JCW and KYJ certainly has good chemistry and they will rock it if the scenes are written well.. from the precap it seems like we are gonna get SB-DH filled episodes..
P.S- what was the stylist thinking when they gave JCW that awful hairstyle in the flashback? 10 years ago means 2010 not 1990 or 2000.. that hairstyle is so 2000s.. they could have simply given him a bowl hair..

all the irritating i had for his father went away with this episode.. his mother is just like him.. we might expect her to be loud and fierce but today she was so emotional and vulnerable.. i never though BR will give scenes like that.. i was already emotional after watching the last 15 mins of IOTNBO and then BR did the job of putting salt to my wounds.. today by the end of both the dramas, the only happy person is saet byul..
today's episode was good and finally DH called out her hypocrisy.. today's episode was more emotional than funny.. SB's dream came true and she is in 7th heaver after knowing baout the break-up.. the only scene that cracked me up.. DH's parents made me super emotional and SB and his mother's scene was the breaking point.. SB and DH's mother always makes me cry.. today's episode give out why DH is such a softy.. both his parents are more emotional than he is.. overall today's episode and next week precap both were good... i enjoyed today's episode..
also, i forgot about juri and MY's flashback... it seems like juri finally understood what she did to MY.. i am looking forward to how they will reconcile. MY needs a friend and juri seems to slowly understand MY.. i love her manager.. that guy could have easily cut off MY if he wanted to but still stayed by her side. he and KT's friend are true gems..

i think ST has a lot of pend-up frustration towards KT coz KT never shows his true feelings to ST and also the fact that eve after being the older brother he is depended on KT.. i though the max ST will do is beat KT in front of everyone.. didnt even cross my mind that he is gonna accuse KT like that.. KT at the end broke my heart
