He was gaslighting the princess earlier. Saying that it was actually the princess's welfare he was concerned about when he stepped up at the banquet to help the female lead

Oh would be cool if Shen knew all along what the Li guys were up to and secretly facilitated them by manipulating the princess's jealousy. The ultimate villain unbeknown to even Li and the princess, who think he's just a simple scholar

This bird villain and the previous opera magistrate feel like jokes to me. Not interesting characters, inadequate as big bads unfortunately

First opera and now bird. To me just gimmicks that add nothing to the characters. I cannot take them seriously as big bads

That's a pretty yellow. She wears such pretty colors. I also like her earlier white one with the dark blue belt
