I don't think that's true though, because they didn't call emergency services to check if all other options were out of the question, you know? my issue is why did the writer decide that this was a necessary plot point. If it's commentary about the lack of access to health services in rural areas then I believe that this could have been done in a better way. It's honestly lazy writing in my opinion how this scene was played out.
