Sometimes I wonder why the uncle isn't investigating the case, instead, the FL has to be carried every step of the way. ML and FL are like two kids playing pretend, one a detective and another a murderer

Too many characters. The story is meh, no bird. A lot of the acting is over-exaggerated, too much unnecessary melodrama, and some parts were just boring

I think it at least deserves a 6/10 though. It is watchable and pretty easy to follow along. Can't tell you what happens 4 months later though

Yup lazy writing. Especially in the first couple of episodes with the tropes. There were scenes where the writing should have been pushed

World-building? I don't know what extravagant world-building you speak of, but this show did not have that

Just because you didn't see anything unique out there, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. There's a reason why this drama wasn't overrated with a 9.2/10 with the other overrated dramas. Sure you can make the argument that nothing is original anymore, but then you can also argue, that a motorcycle is no different from a car, even though they give you completely different experiences.

It's not thrilling if you know what will happen... It doesn't fall under a thriller tag anyway. What I do expect is more of a mystery

I believe the drama can reach an 8.2/10 depending on the ending but right now, it's more like a 7.6/10. The writing improved over the episodes and I guess we'll see if it continues

Just saw the first episode. It is interesting, really interesting, the rooted concept isn't unique but it really captured my attention. There was a plot hole ready to be left unfilled, so pleasantly surprised that it got filled

I think we all knew who was going to survive but I am actually impressed with the writing. Not for the person that survived but for one of the people that didn't.

The pacing is really good. 1.25x speed. Especially great if you had seen post-apocalyptic films. I think the acting could have been better but it is still pretty good. The story was well written, it didn't have a dull moment. There are some common tropes but they are necessary for the story plot. Some characters still needed to be fleshed out more and that's why I am eager to watch season 2 (whenever that comes out). The music is pretty good, nothing that stands out though.

I don't see how constructive criticism will help, since criticism is only accepted if the recipient is willing. Go to a hospital if you want to be helped. Don't tell people to keep their thoughts to themselves.

I don't really see the undead stuff as part of the main plot. So I assume when you say plot, you are talking about the main one. There are multiple plots going on right. As I see it, the main plot is '1997'

But you can't really say that for episodes 2 and 3. I disagree with you there. There was a lot of setup and exposition and introduction of new characters. That scene with the FL and the undead is only 5 minutes lol... I can't really count that. Also, that's part of the minor plot

Yea I don't really like the FL. I don't like any of the characters actually (excluding the kid). Among the characters, there's little to no contrast in personality. Everyone is given a role, and most of their roles can be filled by one personality. Granted I only saw 2 episodes, but I am not really interested anymore.

Have an idea of where the writing is going... and then there's that romance tag. >.> Even the cinematography is melodramatic... Really not a fan of milking the cow

Yes actually, any of those can be interesting. At the moment, we just have it as a plot device. We don't know anything else. We don't get to know the people before they become undead either. There's a very 'good vs bad' going on here
