man I was gonna drop this at ep9 >.< but it still turned out to be good

It's getting harder to watch with ep10 :(
You either watch a hero till they die or you watch a hero live long enough to be the villain

ep12
Well everyone played a part in that murder... But will they all go to jail? >.>

I hate it so much when the director is so misleading. It's as if they lying to your face. Like when people play the 'it was just a prank' joke . Pandering to people that get hooked on cliffhangers. Teasing you to watch the next episode, although the next episode has nothing to do with the cliffhanger

On hold. Killed one too many animals for me

I want to say that the writer enjoys lying/ misleading but it's just an assumption. I am being lied to with every episode TT_TT

ep15
In the beginning, I was so confused about the childhood memories of the main characters. I ignored it. I shouldn't have ignored it

Dang it I feel betrayed. Why am I tearing up though

ep16
if it's a modern-day drama, it's almost impossible for it to not have something about the online comments -_-

ep17
would a kid that didn't grow up with a father (a psychopath that's in jail), say 'think about how sad your family will be if you die, your mom and dad' to another kid... hmm i know for sure he'd be hesitant to mention dad

in and out, the evidence room they go >.>

7.8/10 The gaslit marathon
It really didn't feel any higher to me. The ending made me indifferent. If you pay close enough attention, the truth was given to you at the beginning, but the drama manipulated you into thinking something else. The minor plot twists and mysteries are good but I didn't like the vibes it was giving off at the end. Your genes don’t predestine you to become a psychopath

Do people really deserve to die for taking another's life, if you think so, how are you any different? Also, putting your faith in somebody else's, for something you are able to control, is not instinctual. That behaviour is learned, usually from parents or environment.

try not to put spoilers in ur comment (if you were going to add again) and if u do turn the spoiler option on
Yeah I made it very vague. It won't take away from anybody's enjoyment if they are watching for the first time.

Treat a kid like a monster and he'll be a monster

Why the bird and why the cliche TT__TT
I dont understand what the writer is trying to say by including it in the story

dang it I was rooting for the guy

I knew it. I said it out loud too. Call the cops. Don't try to be a hero.

"you stole your baby's right to live in a world free of wars and crimes" - omfg when did they start making female characters this brain dead

The casting for the professor is strange cause I was so used to seeing him as the villain in AOS

ep2
Okay, this is where I got hooked. The writing is pretty good. A breath of fresh air from the stuff I've been watching

The first couple of episodes are a bit cringe, but then they started to get cute

okay I get she is not experienced with the outside world but why would she not listen to her elder when they said not to tell people about their village

Production value is pretty much the same as Secret Garden

ep16
ML is the 'treat you like shit' type huh, it's getting hard to watch. This didn't need 30 episodes

ep17
The plot needed the ML to blame the FL. So she was there for no other reason than that. If I drop this, it will be because of the ML being annoying

Side note: I'm really happy that baggy, over-sized clothes went out of style

The relationships kinda remind me of darling in the franxx
Okay I can tell the writing is really plummeting from here

I disagree. Duk Im lived almost all her life living by other people's decisions and choices for her. She thought…
It's not about who has the right or who doesn't. It's the fact that they complain over and over and not do anything about it. The don't take action, they just run their mouth. It's annoying.

You misunderstand. It's a privilege to serve the king. That's how it seemed in that period. Servants and slaves most likely had a tougher time serving everyone else.

I totally agree that she was at war within her own self. But the war was unnecessarily prolonged.

Court maids are not considered slaves. She was getting a wage which she used on her brother.

Sure, the political rule was unfair... Wives were tossed aside when the husbands found them displeasing and they weren't allowed to leave. But that's even more reason for them to do something about it or leave. Stop complaining. No complaining about it once or twice would have been fine, but she kept doing it over and over again

She was not imprisoned or forced. She had a JOB
Her feelings didn't imprison her. She willingly did it herself.

No, she didn't tell the king that she loved him because it was a power play. The relationship was already so one-sided that if she told him, the relationship will fall. They wouldn't have been drawn to each other. If anything, her love freed her from her feelings of being trapped.

What are you saying?? The King had to go to work. He has a whole country to rule. Forgive him if he isn't 24/7 with her and wants to be a good king to his people. If I remember correctly, she was working after marriage as well, transcribing books. I don't see anything wrong with that. Selfish?

You shouldn't complain about a decision you've made

The writing was going so good until they brought out the online comments trope

Nope no sympathy for terrorists

To the bomber:
The world isn't rainbows and marshmallows. People make hateful comments online. Boohoo get over it. Doesn't mean you go harming people
It's been 5 months, how do you expect people to remember it? The world doesn't revolve around you. People have their own lives to live

'is that what they would have wanted' probably one of the lowest hanging fruits

Those comments are very mild compared to death threats that people receive. People don't need to take responsibility for every comment they make. Only when they are threats that they become an issue. Also, those comments aren't realistic. People aren't mean for no reason.

They are intentionally leaving out all the positive comments, only focusing on the bad. Let me ask you, what are the type of people that only focus on the negatives in life?

People that know something don't post stuff online for no reason, high chance they are doing it for attention. People with information very rarely post it in the comments, they'll share it privately or in person

Having negative opinions is not bad. We are human.

If you're afraid that someone will take revenge on you, will you post a leading public comment? I wonder what are the stats

Comments like "if the person saw but didn't do anything..." are almost always directed to men and almost never to women, cause the men are --expected-- to protect. Same for older siblings and parents/ guardians. Point is, don't take online comments too seriously. Everyone has opinions and they have a right to them, good or bad.

I really enjoyed this one! Haven't liked a Chinese drama in a while, but this one was amazing! The main leads…
I see thanks. I couldn't get invested when watching the first episode anyways

Tried really hard to get into this drama but ended up dropping it after 10+ episodes. Maybe it was a bad idea…
I think the pacing is not well done too. I can't even finish episode 1. I had a hard time caring and the characters are pretty much the same

I dropped LLTG at 22 episodes in but that's something else all together

I saw Love Between Fairy and Devil. Watched to the end. Enjoyed it.

I might give 'Who Rules The World' a try. It has the same FL

I ended up dropping the show on ep22 cause... well everyone was disappointing and the last 10 episodes started to feel like filler

Do you have any cdrama recommendations?

Sounds like you've been privileged with a good grandmother
On my father side, my grandmother abandoned my mother when she was a child. On my father side, my grandmother died when I was little, on the opposite side of the world, with a language barrier between us and few chances to see her before she got sick.

Humble yourself, I'd be be happy if I had a bad one

The mother is really getting on my nerves. Everyone condemns the grandmother favouring her sons but no one condemns the mother for favouring her niece

Frick is this going turn out like vampire diaries?
I'm gonna drop depending on how they handle the marriage. There's a reason why the fiance is not on the cover photo

They talk about addressing their elders first but then the next scene the ML only addresses The FL although the mother was right there -_-

hypocrites and wolves in sheep's clothing... the other 2 love interests

at episode20 I am significantly less excited for this show

Why are they giving significantly less character development to the person the FL is engaged to than other characters... Oh I wonder what will happen -_-

Is the only way to get someone to fall in love with another to separate them via carriage -_-
ML gets half pay deduction of a general's salary after killing a person... woopty doo
ML is conveniently in the right place at the right time
Why does the ex want to show her ex-fiance's new fiance killing her husband?????

ep21
Somebody, please tell the general to get lost
FL just does whatever the general says -_- what happened to the strong female character?

tragic... FL basically joined everyone else in bullying him to break off the engagement. What happened to the promise they made in front of the girl's grave

tragic... they neglected screen time for the guy to grow a backbone and save his marriage

fair and strict my butt... half a year's salary does not equate to anybody's life, the king favours him, that's why it's only that -_-

so disappointing

ep22
the plot convenience on the ml is impeccable
overstepping boundaries is his favourite past time

it's like swimming in lukewarm water >.>

DROPPED

Started watching this. Giving more cdramas a chance. The voiceovers aren't too annoying in this one. A fan of the female lead, she steals the show

The ratings for cdramas are more lenient than kdrama, so I'll need to adjust what I normally pick. This one is promising
