ikr! I wish they made more sitcoms :( can you link the list? I have been looking for dramas similar to high kick
ooh and Let's Eat season 1 and 2 are also pretty good! Do not watch S3 tho! Work Later, Drink Now and To The Moon are good too. To The Moon is not that good, but it got a similar vibe
He is wrong to date Dong Suk without approval of the family, but if does anything to obtain approval of family…
The uncle being in his 40s and this being his second chance at love already puts him outside the traditional path, so there’s really no reason to expect him to follow the exact same rules as someone in their 20s. And honestly, he probably would’ve eventually asked for their approval anyway, but instead they’re freaking out at him.
The preview!! The uncle went to the aunt’s family to declare that he loves her and wants their acceptance!! The uncle is making moves the ML could never! Let’s gooo
FL’s dad is immature af. I couldn’t stand the way he spoke to his brother, especially when he accused him of only being nice to his sister-in-law to get her on his side. Every time one of them tries to reconcile, the other shuts it down, and it’s honestly getting exhausting

Thanks for sharing the list :) I think Potato Star 2013QR3 is pretty similar in that it’s a sitcom/comedy centered around a family. Welcome to Waikiki and Seoul Busters aren’t really family-oriented, but they have that same lighthearted, chaotic comedy vibe that made High Kick so fun. I’ve also heard Hello Franceska is one of the OG Korean sitcoms on par with High Kick, but I cannot find it anywhere :(
I don't think the "mothers" have any right to be unhappy about the families relationship. They are outside…
Yeah, that’s exactly why it’s so frustrating. They’re taking advantage of the resentment between the two families when, honestly, both families should be healing together since they’re both victims, instead of hating and blaming each other. The mothers keep enabling that resentment, which only makes any real progress even more difficult and frustrating.
Imo, the hatred between the two mothers isn’t even that complicated. They hide behind the family issues, but in reality, a lot of it seems rooted in petty insecurities, education, looks, ability to do housework, etc. They’re constantly competing with each other even though they come from completely different backgrounds and have had completely different roles in life. Ironically, they both look down on and envy the exact same differences in each other imo
