9.5/10 It's not perverted like a lot of other kdramas nowadays. I really appreciate that. I also appreciate the romantic ending, but it's sad how all of these dramas promote childlessness and dedicating your life to your career. I just wish I saw more of the main character's artworks, as she was shown to be good at wood carving in the beginning.
Misogyny would only be applicable if multiple innocent women were unjustly punished and the show portrayed it as justified. This seems to be simply 1 innocent woman being harassed and suspected for evil. It's not misogyny, it's just unfair. Please don't spread the victim mentality, it's so cringey actually
It had an interesting premise, but FL's acting was too much for me, the office drama was unbearable and the intimacy between the FL and ML felt like it moved too quickly. I feel bad for ML's girlfriend, was he forced to date her or something?
The only thing I enjoyed was the funny horror scenes.

Just a guess, but I would assume it's because rural towns like her hometown normally have a strong patriarchy…
yes but normally if you're sure that your skirt might fly up and show your undies, you put on shorts underneath... i mean even woman back in the day wore pantalettes/bloomers
I'm at episode 20 atm. I really don't like that there are 3 guys fighting over the female lead, it kinda feels gross. I'm just glad she hasn't reciprocated the other 2 guys's romantic advancements but I wish she would put down some boundaries so they'd stop being delusional. I hate love triangles/squares/etc. Also, the second female lead (Go Joon Hee) looks more like an adult version of Woo Ri than Hwang Jung Eum does tbh. And... doesn't having short hair take more effort to look good? Why would Woo Ri have a bowl hair cut even if she didn't want to be reminded of mom who was a hairdresser? Long hair is so easy to style, just put it into a ponytail lol
I enjoy watching the dad, he reminds me of my friends who were a little slow but they had the most beautiful hearts <3
heartwarming. only problem I had was the wife's affair. was it seriously resolved after her husband invited her affair partner over and made food that she loved? honestly he had a right to be more angry with her.
also, she was not the shining light. the main character, her husband was more of a shining light than she ever could be. His scenes put a smile on my face and lifted my spirits. Her scenes were depressing and I was constantly thinking to myself "please don't cheat on your husband".
really good drama, didn't expect all the politics and corruption considering the title and description. I appreciate that the protagonist didn't end up with anyone other than her husband, to give him the respect that he deserves (he said mean stuff but did good things for his wife and daughter). I wish the presence of fathers were emphasized more positively, most of the fathers were villains/weak.
also, the music was so weird! every time there was a sad scene a song would come on with the lyrics "I'm crying crying crying". Too on the nose.
edit: I'm pretty sure all of the fathers were villains/weak. The only man who was decent and stuck to his convictions was the teacher, who was not a father :/
can't finish this show. the episode "pied piper" where a mentally disabled man kidnaps a bus full of kids to play with them in the mountains without their parent's prior consent is so creepy. Only a pedophile would tell children "not to tell their parents" what happened. I didn't see the ending, but I acknowledge that the school was abusing the children, if only someone handled the situation in a better way. If only parents like that didn't exist (since they were aware of the abuse). but I still can't bear the thought of children being taken into the mountains by a lone man to play.
