Floptastic
I’d rate it a 6 out of 10. The casting was phenomenal, and the acting? Genuinely great. But the plot was such a flop, and that’s what pisses me off, the potential was right there. Overall, I don’t know if I’d recommend it. Maybe watch it if you’ve got nothing else to do, but just be ready to feel frustrated along the way

Season 1? Genuinely good. It had tension, well-paced drama, solid character development, even when it got dramatic, it earned that drama. But Season 2? It feels like it’s all just for show now, and I mean that literally. Everyone suddenly has full glam makeup, perfect hair, and these close-up shots that feel more like a beauty campaign than a scene. Like period queen, Yeri is stunning !! those eyelashes? okay baddie!! but at some point I realized I was paying more attention to her face than the plot, they should've put the same amount of budget into the plot because the plot was just not giving.
The biggest thing that pissed me off: they completely dropped the ball on the whole Si-eun falling incident. Season 1 centered around Hae-in’s storyline after her fall, so naturally I assumed Season 2 would go deep into Si-eun’s side of things. But no, they introduce a whole new plot instead. And while I won’t lie, the idea of the new plot had potential, the execution was just sloppy. Every episode introduced something new , secrets, betrayals, drama! But instead of building up to a meaningful payoff, it just fizzled out. They’d hype up plot points only to resolve them in the most anticlimactic, rushed way. Like the whole mistress pregnancy situation they made it out to be a huge deal, and then what? They just drop the DNA test bomb and she backs down quietly. that’s it. I guess that technically wraps it up, but it felt so unsatisfying. It didn’t hit.
The worst part is that they’re really good at cliffhangers. Like I kept watching because I had to know what happened next. They know how to hook you in, but when it comes time to actually deliver, they fumble the bag every time. And don’t even get me started on the random romance subplot. Completely unnecessary. It distracted from the main themes and watered down the potential for stronger dynamics between the characters like friendship, rivalry, or actual emotional growth.
So yeah. Bitch Rich S2 had moments, sure. But overall, I'm a bit frustrated because what the fuck. Like okay whatever season 3 when...
