Holy shit, this was an insane ride. Trust me, this is one of the best pieces of kdrama that I've watched in a long time. It's highly character driven and honestly, the story, acting, pacing, cinematography - everything was top notch. Go Ah Sung was brilliant in this role. Can't believe I put off watching this for so long, it's been a while since a show was able to make me feel this way. An amazing satire on all the complications faced in a hypercapitalistic society like South Korea. The ending was poetic - loved the last shot.

One of the few shows that can actually make you laugh (out loud, for real). I really enjoyed each episode and it felt like every character had enough screen time and their own stories. Highly recommend!

Had this on my plan to watch list for a long time, but I was put off by the reviews. Since it was on netflix I decided to bite the bullet and give it a try. To anyone else reading this - run, just run. Just don't. DO NOT. You might be drawn in by the cute qualities/fluff, but there is absolutely no redeeming the ending of this show, do yourself a huge favor and don't watch this show. If you still decide to ignore my warning and suffer through this, stop at the midway point of ep13 and don't look back.

Criminally underrated both critically and popularly, this is definitely in contention for the best k-drama released this year. It's so well executed and depressingly realistic in its depiction of simple themes but it showcases a killer depth to them. I know this flew under the radar for many people as it was a web/streaming service only release, but I hope more people give it a chance. Highly recommend it.

Title Bloody Heart
Leaving aside the story, the cinematography and visuals here are some of the best I've ever seen in a long time. So many shots where the atmosphere and framing are a feast for the eyes. Among the sea of kdramas that have such vanilla cinematography, this stands out as one of the best with its use of various techniques. Overall I liked and enjoyed the drama - well acted and well written (with some obvious pitfalls). Totally recommend it just for how good the visuals are.

Great parallels this episode between Atty Jung and Atty Ryu - shows us that winning isn't everything. Even though Atty Jung is a senior lawyer at a top firm who is winning cases and making money, he's super overworked, can't catch a proper meal, afraid of a murderer that he put in jail getting released and coming after him, and now facing health issues. That last scene with him realizing this and laughing was quite sad. Contrast this with how Atty Ryu who works in a small office is literally having a rooftop food party with her clients after losing a case - it just feels like she is content with her life as she is fighting for a purpose/for the people/for justice.I have to agree the writers were not too subtle with these parallels but it was well executed and I really loved the entire episode. Plus the mini-date scenes were super cute!

I really enjoyed the writing in episode 8. The entire plot with having the tree act as a "roadblock" is kind of symbolising how WYW's mom viewed her as a block to her career and wanted to push through without her - but now the mom has to acknowledge WYW just like how the tree was made a national monument.

I also enjoy how the writing team takes on these plot reveals (WYW and her mom) and spins them in ways that we don't usually see in normal dramas. I'm sure if it was a run-of-the-mill show we would have had a much different, much more dramatic reveal - but this was a much more grounded and rational way to do it. Props to the entire technical crew and all the actors.

The only 2 things I'm not sold are the romance and the Male Lead. It feels rushed, by episode 2 Junho already…
One thing to note is the time frame - it's been more than a couple of months since WYW has joined the firm. And also in EP7 we establish that both WYW and LJH still have lunch together frequently.

I kind of agree with your point being that it isn't *directly* shown (conversations with the ML etc), so it seems rushed to the viewers, but the show is more about the law and WYW perspective and not more about the romance although it's still happening in the background. The show is choosing to focus on WYW and her experiences along with the cases than romance (which is kind of why they didn't promote it as a romance show).

After this episode, I think there is an outside chance that Min Woo might actually be Tae Su Mi's son or Young Woo's half brother. Either that or he has some backstory for why he's acting this way.

So far I am loving this show! It's such a feel good thing to watch and all the actors are great in their respective roles. I hope it continues to be as good for the rest of the series.

Ahhh the cover image is quite old.. I submitted a new one according to the guidelines as I saw other actors getting updated but it got rejected idk why TT.

Anyway I hope we get more of her this year and not just the one drama, but it isn't looking too likely :(. I LOVE HER, GIVE HER A NEW MAIN ROLE!!!

Any love triangle??Is it an annoying one??
I mean, yeah it has a love triangle but it's not really a love triangle (can't expand further without spoiling major plot points). Plus, I found it not annoying.

My first comment on this site. I've watched ~90 dramas till now and if you're on the fence about watching this one, don't be. Go watch it now. I recommend not knowing much about it going in, you'll have a great time. One of the best romance dramas I've ever seen.
