I love that Hwang Si Mok is written as a character with lack of emotions but is not portrayed like a stiff asshole. Just like a real-life person, he is very nuanced and Jo Seung Woo makes him very believable.
Please let me ask again, drama veterans, is this signal-tunnel-circle level quality?
For me, this is on Signal level (didn't love Tunnel and haven't watched Circle yet). Just like in Signal, I love the main characters, which are portrayed with a lot of care and originality that you won't often see in kdramas. The storyline so far is very intriguing and I have high hopes for it. I definitely recommend you check it out.
Hwang Shi Mok's beautiful smile during the ramen scene with Yeo Jin was kind of heart fluttering ^^ I know…
I wish this isn't true but I feel like Eunsoo, more than having a crush on Simok, is trying to break his wall and make him trust her, thus removing her from the list of suspects. Ugh, this drama is making me suspicious of everyone! XD
First time dropping an OCN drama but I got up to ep 4 and didn't find myself wanting to watch more episodes, alongside being annoyed with most of the characters. I would've probably continued with it if I didn't love Stranger so much but that just made me realize how much I don't like the plot and execution of Duel. :(
I've been waiting for something like this. Though I love OCN, this is blowing Duel out of the water for me. Also, can we talk about how hot Pros. Hwang Shi Mok is?! I'm in love.
Started this because I was pulling an all-nighter during finals and needed something to go along with my spicy cheese ramyun....this about sums the drama for me. It's good for those times but beyond boring otherwise. At this point, watching new episodes has become a chore for me, so I'm dropping it at ep. 8.
Loved the cast - it was like a hybrid of Signal and A Tree with Deep Roots, but I didn't find the movie to be that memorable. Some moments were funny, others were touching, but in the end, it didn't really speak to me that much.
Honestly, what was the point of delaying the drama for a week when the subsequent episodes were weaker than their…
Yes, though some sources mentioned that the producers delayed it to work on quality. Either way, I still found the episodes after the delay disappointing, whether it was intentional or not.
Honestly, what was the point of delaying the drama for a week when the subsequent episodes were weaker than their predecessors. Don't get me wrong, I loved this drama but so many things could've been done better. Towards the end, I was so annoyed by Kwangho yelling and cursing the whole time and Yeonho getting choked every five minutes. OCN needs to step up their game a bit, since both Voice and Tunnel lacked strong endings. Hopefully, Duel is better.
This drama started with a really great promise and a real strong first 6 episodes. But for a thriller it was too…
Though I really enjoyed the drama, I agree about the predicable reveals and the underwhelming final. I think Tunnel suffered from the common kdrama syndrome of having a strong beginning, a draggy middle, and a crammed ending that comes too soon which could've been prevented by them not spending as much time doing useless things earlier on.
