Episodes 1-12 have improved significantly. After episode six, the story began to unfold, progressing at a nice pace ever since. We learn more about the different characters and how their actions affect the main leads. The last four episodes also have better cinematography and editing. The OST is good, too.
Episode 3 was better than the first two. We learned more about the company, the capsule, and one of the Esper members. The less screen time devoted to the mission, the better.

1. It was anticlimactic, but I wonder how much the week difference between episode 9 and 10 played a role, as many were expecting a big twist. This one has all the classic elements of a psychological drama/movie mystery with slow pacing, dark setting, confusion and twists at the end of each episode. And they kept this pattern between ep1-9. After that, we should have gotten some shocking twist in the last episode, as usually happens in this genre, and the buzz of this drama would be alive. I would have preferred that. But what is unique about this drama is that the writer and director put a lot of emphasis on the human relationship/emotion throughout the drama, which is not a pattern you usually find in this genre. I think there was a call from the beginning and they ended it on that human emotion, otherwise we would have got Ha-bin as the culprit. 2. After reading other commenters, I feel like if they had shown the flashback of Ha-jun's death, then the scene between Jang Tae Su and Jang Ha-bin at the police station (where the knife is brandished) would not have existed, and it would not have shown Tae-su's character in a good light. Then the question would have come up why he doubted her in the first place. The scene at the police station brought everything together and showed both Tae-su's and Ha-bin's characters in a good light. I think the flashback scene would have worked if they showed Ha-bin as the culprit.
One of the best dramas of 2024 and a good psychological mystery drama from K-drama land. But it definitely needed the big twist in episode 10. It would not be a surprise if Han Seok Kyu wins the MBC Daesang and is nominated for the Baeksang Arts Awards, other cast members include Chae Won Bin played her role well. The BGM of this drama really enhanced and was completely in sync with every scene and emotion.
