i'm still grateful for the great performances & visual of the main leads at least, i will only thank ren jia lun and peng xiao ran at this point — oh i think i need to thank the costume designer team, cinematographer and vfx team as well.

sadly because in the novel they raised their kids together before they both die together — in this drama they destroy the already average storyline novel to make a disappointing script drama 😭

In this drama they even cut the romantic scene of the ML & FL so we dont't know whether they filmed kiss scene or not for this drama — i agreed with you about their performances.

Please allow me to correct you, RJL indeed done some real kiss scenes on his previous dramas like in detective dee(his debut drama), the glory of tang dinasty, forever & ever, the blue whisper, the demon hunter's romance and (forehead kisses in under the power & the destiny of white snake if it's counts) 😂 I guess, maybe we won't have another kiss scenes from him because it seems like he's now focus more to a non-romance genre.

They are so mean, they wasted Ren Jialun's and Peng Xiaoran's talent and time with this lousy script.

I think one of a signs of a red flag plot is when they cut out many of the ML' & FL' scenes and focus more to another characters's story instead.

Chen Yihan (Dun Tingxin) said that they filmed 2 endings for this drama, BE and HE but she don't know which versions is being used.

i guess, we'll find out about the ending once the express package release tomorrow heh.

Ren Jialun did not pick this script(and fate chooses you) himself but his former agency(huanrui) picked it for him as a requirement to leave that agency. He didn't even get paid to act on those 2 dramas.

About the promotion, we don't know whether they ask him to join the in-person promotion or not though, so even Ren Jialun not joining the in-person promotion is still understandable.

But Ren Jialun and his studio do the social media promotions, Ren Jialun Studio posting about this drama everyday.

i only know that love & crown and fate chooses you are 2 breakup dramas that he's required to finish as a criteria to leave huanrui.
