Firstly, Mr. Muhammad Abdullah, please ponder over the hadith yourself first. Hazrat Muhammad s.a.w married Hazrat Aisha r.a at the age of six and consummated the marriage when she turned 9 years old. It is believed in the Islamic Jurispudence that Hazrat Aisha r.a must have reached an age of maturity (puberty) by that time. Or else, why did he not consummate the marriage when she was 6 years old? Secondly, I am not supporting any westernised idea but you representing Islam to be so unreasonable when there are multiple hadith quoting that "A virgin cannot be married until her permission is sought" (Sahih Muslim, Sahih Al-Bukhari) is simply beyond comprehension. This hadith does refer to that a girl must be mentally and physically mature to make this decision. Thirdly, you have taken the debate completely off the grid by bringing in Islamic teachings about marriage when the topic isn't even about it. It is clearly a debate over "dating" which is haram in Islam. Why didn't you talk about them being in a haram relationship instead of outwardly supporting an act which goes against the teachings of Islam. Please stop manipulating the religion in the way you want and associating Hazrat Muhammad s.a.w's examples in such cases. --- Also, a note to general public, I am completely being unbiased in this debate. Also, Islam condemns the marriage of girls who have not attained puberty so how can Hazrat Muhammad s.a.w God forbid go against this. Also, please stop associating Hazrat Muhammad s.a.w's example with Kim So-Hyun (personal request). and btw Hazrat Muhammad s.a.w 'married' Hazrat Aisha r.a and gave her respect for the entirety of his life's duration after the marriage.
