Agreed. I remember one particular scene where possessed Mink was mimicking the voice of some couple's baby while trapped in a room. No one was allowed to open the door until it was safe to do so. However, Mink purposely used the voice of the baby to lure the parents into opening the door, even tho the parents knew that their child wasn't behind the door. But it genuinely pissed me off how the mom of the baby wanted to open the door to Mink's room to "get her son". I'm pretty sure she knew her baby wasn't inside the room and yet she still wanted to open the door and risk the lives of others.

Just thought I'd share. That was a scene that pissed me off. And I would agree with you: I wish they used their brains a bit more.
