That toxic rotting family where noone is honest with each other with those deeply unhappy parents was so real, there is no 'scene' that can fix it or redeem them, loved that scene and in general the portrayal of fl and how her issues came to be.
Even though this show is so light hearted, it tackled difficult issues in a really mature way, super rare for a kdrama. The 'drama' in this show felt like it arose naturally, the characters were treated with respect and it didn't feel like they were exploited to milk drama. Probably my favorite show of 2025 along with Atypical Family.

First episode was great but that female highschooler is way out of line with those comments on parents of that other kid, hope the show doesn't just handwave such behavior away and she gets whats coming to her later on

This is pretty cringe to watch. Its like one of those shitty melodramatic makjangs but pretends its hbo prestige tv.
Its got the mother in law beef, the mother in law of the mother in law beef, the mistress and at the same time some global world war fate of the world hanging in balance shit and main character's life always in danger, its just way too much lol.

You know that chief eunuch guy (played by jang gwang)? He was always on the kings side, and tried to help him change and the king personally shot him with arrows and then had his limbs cut off.
Just saying, the historical figure was certifiably insane, and this caricature is so freaking tame. They tried to make him menacing but he ended up being a coward, strong towards the weak and weak towards the strong.
