Don't get all the negativity around doping. That adds like 5-10% more physicality max. Do these people in the show really think if they were 5-10% stronger they could not only represent the country internationally but also be one of the best players in all of Asia.
Like if Barry Bonds showed up at a crap ass 100% loss rate baseball team to coach it or Maradona did the same in a soccer team, would those kids really not want that?
You can basically watch the first 3-4 episodes, then skip to the last 2-3 episodes, everything in between is just filler as there is no character development, no real depth to the story. They introduce the main bad guy super early, then do nothing with him.
The action scenes and fight choreography is great but its enough alone to warrant slogging through the show, mainly as most of the fights are just the main leads fighting through hordes of nameless mobs.
Really good drama. TikTok brains can't watch this.
Main couple has no chemistry and Lee jong suk once again proved that he can't act. With terrible visuals (his nose is like a grotesque clay thing) and no acting skills, I have no idea how he became a lead actor.
This isn't bad but god damn its boring af, mainly the main couple, both ml and fl can't act, and it doesn't feel like they got chemistry. The male lead especially is wooden as hell.
The landlord is great though, every scene she is in feels good. Chang Won and the lawyer nurse couple are also fun to watch.
Because this People know nothing about Acting the FL is one of the Most Talented Actresses and Played Many Great…

could have just been an illuminating examination of how much weight people put on something as common and trivial as sex but I guess the koreans are super puritianical, had to make something weird and disconnected

Yeah it's in the US which has issues but grading on the curve is not one of them. Say the exam was too hard and everyone did poorly and scored between 30-60. If you were getting graded rigidly, everyone would get Ds but because you are graded on a curve based on the median score, it would be fairer, like the people from 50-60 will get As, 40-50 would get Bs and so on.
And about the rating system, since its based on opinion and taste, noone would use it 'well'. Every rating system ends up being a grading on a curve like thing. Like even video game ratings for example, you never see a score below 7, it skews towards high ratings. You just accept how the rating systems work and make your best judgement.
I'm never gonna understand how some Kdrama fans' brain works. Imagine saying 7.8 rating is low. Like, you failed…
On this website it is indeed low. Have you taken a class where you got graded on a curve, sometimes a score of 50 would be an A, sometimes even 80 would be a C. Here, if a drama is above 9 its truly great, 8.5+ is quite good, 8-8.4 is actually kinda average. Most dramas are between 8-8.4. Even super mediocre ones. Below 8 its usually pretty bad (atleast according to the community here).
Personally I like this drama a lot, I think its a lot better than Good Boy which has higher ratings.
