One of the most overrated movies of this generation
Anyone who was shocked by the ending stretch of this movie, I suggest you go back and watch all the amazing Korean hits that came out of 2000-2014 era during their golden years of cinema before the industry got taken over by Hollywood cliche fluff and Netflix mass releases, as that ending was pretty standard affair for Korean film prior. While this movie was unique and very good, I don't think it remotely deserved the insane amount of praise it got; becoming the face of Korean cinema to westerners and being the first foreign film in history to win best picture at the Oscars.
